NPC TACTICS / GENERAL INFO

Equip your NPCs with good weapons and armor. Avoid giving them your best weapons unless you have no other use for them. For example, keep the M72 for yourself and give shotguns to Vic and Cassidy.

Be cautious when letting NPCs use weapons that can cause area damage, as their shots can sometimes harm you.

In the endgame of Fallout 2, NPCs are generally not required and can even cause problems, particularly at Navarro and the Enclave.

Some NPCs, such as Marcus, Skynet, Goris, and the dogs, cannot wear armor and are therefore highly vulnerable to damage in the endgame.

If you plan to visit Navarro and the Enclave and intend to move around their bases, you must equip your NPCs with some form of Power Armor.

There are four sets of Power Armor available:

You can obtain Advanced Power Armor at Navarro.

Sulik can be given Power Armor found at the Military Base.

Vic can receive Power Armor from the Brotherhood bunker in San Francisco.

Cassidy can acquire Power Armor at Flying Dragon 8, though it is extremely expensive.

If you choose to have NPCs in your party during the endgame, Sulik, Vic, and Cassidy are recommended.

Give Vic and Cassidy hardened versions of Power Armor.

Let Sulik use your old suit of Advanced Power Armor once you find the Advanced Power Armor MK-II variant.

Ensure Sulik is equipped with the G11e SMG.

Equip Vic and Cassidy with M72 rifles.
