Your step-by-step Fallout 2 guide to infiltrating the Enclave base, downloading security data, navigating the maze, and choosing your path to victory.

Alright, so you've made it to the Enclave base – big stuff! This is where things get serious, and you'll need to be sharp. Don't worry, I'll walk you through it.

First things first, head to the southwest side of the base and find that computer. You'll need to log in as one of the listed users to download the security status for the nuclear reactor. Once you've got that crucial data, make your way to the right and into the barracks/armory.

Inside the armory, follow the hallway all the way to the end. You'll find a room with bunk beds, guarded by some folks in older Power Armor. Your target here is the northern lockers – they've got some 2mm EC ammo. This stuff is super important because it's what you'll need for the M72 Gauss Rifle, which you'll definitely want to grab. After you've snagged the ammo, head back towards the armory itself, located a bit to the north. Inside, you should find some plastic explosives. Got everything? Good. Now, leave this room and make your way back towards the entrance, because we're heading to the detention cells next.

Once you're in the new area, go through the hall and take a right to enter the detention cells. You'll find prisoners from Arroyo and Vault 13 here. Take a moment to chat with the Elder and Martin Frobisher, the leader from Vault 13. They'll give you a clearer picture of what's going on. After that, it's time to head down the stairwell and navigate a corridor to reach the President.

Now, this corridor is no joke – it's a nasty defense mechanism. The floor is electrified and can zap you for up to 10 damage! When you enter the maze, you'll be using terminals to open and close doors. It's a bit of a puzzle, but here's the order you need to hit the terminals:

Maze Layout:
A - B - C
| | |
1 - D - E - F - 2
| | |
G - H - I

Order to get through the maze: B, A, D, equipment runs (1 and 2), E, F, B, A, G, H, I, then you can leave the corridor.

Equipment Rooms:
Room #1: This is where you'll find the M72 Gauss Rifle and the Advanced Power Armor MK II. Definitely grab these if you can!
Room #2: If you somehow forgot your G.E.C.K., you can pick it up here, along with some useful healing items and weapons.

Quick Note on the M72 Gauss Rifle: This thing is a beast! It's arguably the strongest small gun in the game, capable of dealing around 30 damage normally and over 150 on critical hits. Since the Enclave base is loaded with 2mm EC ammo, which is super rare elsewhere, this rifle is a must-have.

After you've conquered the maze, head to the Presidential Quarters. Go down the hallway until you reach the Vice President's office – you can't miss him, he's the one in the suit. Have a chat with him; his dialogue is pretty amusing. The President's room is through the door marked with the Presidential seal. Once inside, close the door and switch to 'Sneak' mode. You can chat with the President if you want to learn about his
