Learn how to defeat Reavers in Fallout Tactics, including strategies for their energy weapons, looting their camp for valuable gear, and navigating their fortified positions.
This section details strategies for dealing with Reavers in Fallout Tactics, focusing on their equipment, tactics, and how to overcome them to loot their camp.
Walkthrough
- 1If your team has sniper rifles and good positioning on walls, Reavers may not get close enough to use their energy weapons effectively.
- 2After eliminating charging Reavers, advance to their camp. Head North to clear Reavers behind a fence and one to the Southwest. Be aware of acid sprayers.
- 3Loot fallen Reavers for laser rifles, Steyrs, grenade launchers, avengers, sniper rifles, and a large quantity of Stimpaks. Collect grenades for the launcher, as they are valuable.
- 4Use cover when advancing, as Reavers will do the same. Use grenades to flush out hidden Reavers, then eliminate them with heavy fire.
- 5To enter the cabin, disarm the trap on the door. Use the key found on a dead civilian outside to open it. Move a grenadier inside and throw grenades near the workbench to defeat the waiting Reaver. Obtain the robot torso from the workbench.
- 6Proceed upstairs in the cabin. Throw grenades into the bedroom and use hit-and-run tactics to deal with the enemies there.
Tips
- A heavy weapons specialist can crawl behind the main Reaver house and fire through the rear window to hit the Reaver by the workbench.
- Warriors can move north of the stone wall on the north side of the Reaver house to flank the nest of Reavers southeast of the main compound.
- In the far northwest, a stairway leads to a long underground tunnel filled with giant rats and valuable loot, including guns and ammo.
Reaver Equipment Notes:
- Reavers use energy weapons like energy rifles and plasma rifles. Energy rifles have significant range and damage, comparable to sniper rifles, but require a high energy weapon skill to use effectively.
- Energy weapons consume 1 more action point than standard weapons, which is a crucial consideration for turn-based combat and targeted shots.
- Ammunition for energy weapons is scarcer than for sniper rifles or Browning/minigun weapons.
- By the end of the game, energy weapon ammo becomes more common, making them a viable long-term investment.
- Grenades for grenade launchers are worth a significant amount of money.
