Learn how to efficiently take down guards and loot tents in Fallout Tactics, specifically focusing on the alcohol still area for a 200 XP reward.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
The south side of the gorge is lightly guarded. In a tent on the west side, you'll find a shelf with items and a sleeping guard.
  2. 2
Move to the agreed meeting point and locate the guy in red armor inside a building, crouched.
  3. 3
Proceed northeast to a room with a bookshelf. Kill the spear-wielding guard and his nearby companion. Obtain the scouting manual from the shelf and read it to increase your Outdoorsman skill.
  4. 4
Continue northeast and eliminate the spear guy near the fire.
  5. 5
Head east into the wood-floored room and loot the cabinet.
  6. 6
Move your squad north-northeast of the porthole building where sleeping guards are located. Sneak in and eliminate them quickly.
  7. 7
Proceed southwest to the room with the locked door and 'Ripley the prisoner'. You may need to sneak or shoot the guards in the main street before they trigger an alarm. If this proves difficult, you might have to go around through the still area, defeat those enemies, and approach from both the north and south sides of the street to kill them before the siren sounds.
  8. 8
Attempting to pick the lock is an option, though difficult. If successful, Ripley will open the door and flee.
  9. 9
Enter the nearby tent to rescue the elder. Be cautious of the guards in the bunker in the street. Shooting nearby enemies may alert guards, causing them to emerge from tents. If skilled, you can pick them off one by one as they approach, using cover and crouching.
  10. 10
After dealing with the guards, loot their bodies and tents for valuable items. If you are fortunate, most guards will remain asleep in their tents. Approach the door with your squad on passive sentry, then switch to aggressive mode for approximately six free shots at 95% accuracy, akin to an execution.
  11. 11
From this point, head north to a small compound containing a locked house. Accessing this house is difficult; the author has not yet found a way in and is interested in its contents.
Tips
  • The key to the locked house in the Freeport mission is held by one of the guards near the tent where the elder is located. This guard may also carry better loot than others in the Freeport mission.
