The key here is understanding how to use your first few units effectively. Your initial Scout and Warrior are your best friends. The Scout is great for uncovering the map and finding those juicy tribal villages that give you free stuff, while your Warrior is your muscle for claiming territory and dealing with any minor threats.

When you're looking to settle your first city, don't just plop it down anywhere.
