Walkthrough

    Head down to the area below and go inside the door again.

    Place the Ruin Door where it belongs to the left.

    Once the saw moves away, hammer the scrap to reveal a trap door.

    Fall through and head left, defeating the Hammer Bro.

    Continue up to defeat another Hammer Bro.

    Go back down and across the Bombs to reach the upper platform.

    Ride the saw to get a [Flashy Infinijump].

    Head back west and outside.

    Grab the heart and save.

    Go up to the waterfall to the right.

    Hammer over the edge (hugging the wall, near the blue flower) to reveal blocks.

    Walk on these blocks to the dark spot near the falls and grab the [Teapot].

    Go back outside and hammer the log to free the bridge, then go left.

    Continue westward, then go up the steps to face the Chomp of the Ruins.

    Before fighting, hammer the log behind him.

  • Strategy: Wait for the Chomp to wake up. The battle ends when it wakes up, so waste stickers until it does. It cannot be damaged.

World Map: Head back to Decalburg to pick up the Fridge or Shaved Ice stickers. When ready, head to World 5-5.

Rugged Road Walkthrough:

  1. This area features falling lava rocks, Fire Bros., and lava. Keep moving to avoid falling rocks.
  2. Go up and defeat the Fire Bro and Shiny Paratroopa.
  3. Grab the [Hammer] in the background and the [Shiny Jump] from the ?-Block.
  4. Go southwest and grab the [Line Jump] from a ?-Block.
  5. Approach the lava and Paperize with an icy treat or cooling device.
  6. Head down and grab the [Chillhammer].
  7. Go to the southwest ?-Block for a [Shiny Hammer] sticker.
  8. Head left to a cavern and grab the [Turkey].
  9. Go back outside and onto the ice. Grab the [Ice Flower].
  10. Go back up to the ice flows at the top and head east.
  11. Grab the [Shiny Shell] from the ?-Block and continue east.
  12. Defeat the Fire Piranhas and jump across the lava flow.
  13. Defeat the Bony Beetles and the Fire Bro.
  14. At the larger lava flow, wait for a block to come down and use it to jump across.
  15. On the other side, hit the ?-Block for a [Flashy Hopslipper].
  16. Paperize for the [Mountain Hole] scrap.
  17. Jump across three floating rocks and peel off the [Shiny Hammer] on the other side.
  18. The ?-Block contains a [Flashy Jump].
  19. Defeat the Bony Battle and head east.
  20. Grab the [Iron Jump] and run up the ramp.
  21. Go back and drop down. Grab the [Fire Flower] and [Mountain Bolder] scrap.
  22. Replace the boulder with the hole. Head through and reach the other side.
  23. Hammer the foundation of the rock up here.
  24. Backtrack west.
  25. Peel off the [Iron Jump] here.
  26. Jump across the lava using sedentary stones and go up the steps.
  27. Place the boulder in the wall. Jump on top of the boulder to reach the upper path.
  28. Head left into a cave to find the [Car Sponge].
  29. Go back out and east for a heart. Continue east into the next area.
  30. Take the fallen boulder bridge to get across. Heal and save.
  31. Continue east.
  32. Head south and east to find a [Flashy Iron Jump] in the southeasternmost corner.
  33. Backtrack up the steps and grab the regular [Iron Jump].
  34. Continue up and defeat the Fire Bro. and his gang.
  35. Hit the ?-Block for a [Shiny Eekhammer].
  36. Hit the next ?-Block for a [Shiny Hopslipper].
  37. Return to where you first entered this area.
