Alright, after that last bit, it's time to head south and really get going. Make sure you've healed up, then we'll hit the World Map.
From the World Map, I highly recommend heading north to Surfshine Harbor. It's a great spot to grab some extra stickers before we dive into World 1-1!
2.0.3 Surfshine Harbor [WA.0.03]
When you arrive in Surfshine Harbor, you'll find a checklist of items. We're mostly looking for stickers here:
- Stickers: Baahammer, Hopslipper (x3), Shiny Hammer (x2), Hammer, Jump (x2), Worn-Out Hammer
- Things: [NONE]
- Scraps: [NONE]
Let's start collecting! Head straight ahead and hit the block for a [Hopslipper] sticker. To the west, there's another [Jump] sticker waiting on some crates.
Now, for that [Shiny Hammer] sticker to the east. To grab it, go to the block further back and jump towards the screen, aiming for the crate. You should be able to make the jump.
Don't forget there's another [Shiny Hammer] in the block back there, too!
Keep heading east. You'll find a [Hopslipper] sticker on the crates and a [Worn-Out Hammer] sticker on the pier. Follow the pier out further, and you'll reach another area with even more stickers. On the crates, you'll find a [Hammer] and a [Jump] sticker. Behind all those crates, there's another [Hopslipper].
The very last sticker to snag here is the [Baahammer], located farther along the pier. If you've been diligent, your sticker album should be looking pretty full right about now!
Once you've collected everything, head back to the World Map. It's time to move on to Chapter 1.
Chapter 1 [WA.1.00]
World 1-1 is located two slots south of Surfshine Harbor on the World Map. Head there to kick off your real adventure!
2.1.1 Warm Fuzzy Plains [WA.1.01]
Chapter 1 takes us to the familiar meadows, just like in past Paper Mario games. While these areas usually serve as a gentle introduction, the bosses and enemies here can actually give you a tough time if you're not ready. You'll be introduced to new concepts like paperizing, zoning, 'Things,' and scraps, but most importantly, you'll learn the ropes of sticker-based combat and just how valuable they are.
