1. Phase 1: Regular El Gigante: You'll face one without armor first. Luis will distract it.

Strategy:

• Fighting the First El Gigante: As soon as the fight starts, let Luis handle the armored one for a bit. Your target is the regular El Gigante. Grab your Shotgun, Rifle, or Magnum – whatever hits hardest – and unload on its head. Keep blasting until it stumbles to its knees. This is your cue! Get close and you'll get a prompt to perform a melee attack, letting you jump on its back and stab the parasite directly with your knife. You can do this a few times before it shakes you off. If it throws you off, just go back to shooting its head until it kneels again. Rinse and repeat until it's down.
• Dealing with the Armored El Gigante: Once the first one is toast, it's time for the armored troll. Keep your distance for now and just keep shooting at its face. It's armored, so it'll take a bit, but you need to keep the pressure on. Luis is working on something to help, so just stay mobile and avoid its attacks. Eventually, he'll come back with a mine. When he does, you need to lure the armored El Gigante over to where Luis is. Keep shooting its face, and watch for the prompt to shoot the mine on its back.
• The Furnace Finish: After you shoot the mine, you need to get the armored El Gigante to walk over the gate leading to the furnace. Once it's positioned correctly, shoot the mine on its back. This will make it fall to its knees. Now, you have two choices: you can either run to the lever in the center of the room and pull it to send the troll into the furnace for a quick, ammo-saving win, or you can keep shooting it like the first one. Since there's no special trophy for killing it normally, using the furnace is definitely the way to go.
