The Giant Troll, El Gigante, is the first truly enormous monster you'll face in Resident Evil 4 Remake, appearing at the end of Chapter 4. While intimidating, this boss fight is manageable with the right approach, especially if you've rescued the wolf companion.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Weak Point: Initially the head, later the parasite on its back.
• Vulnerability: Can be staggered by grenades.
• Damage: Most attacks inflict significant damage and can knock Leon down, leaving him vulnerable.

Phases:

1. Initial Assault: The troll charges and smashes the ground. Focus fire on its head.
2. Parasite Emergence: A parasite emerges from its back. Shoot the parasite.
3. Melee Opportunity: After enough damage to the parasite, the troll kneels, allowing a melee attack on its back.
4. Ranged Combat: Continue shooting the parasite until the troll is defeated.

Strategy:

• Opening Moves: Equip your most powerful weapon (SR M1903 rifle or W-870 shotgun). Aim for the troll's head and fire as many shots as possible before it reaches you. Quickly reposition to avoid its attacks.
• Evasion: Running around the troll to create distance is often more effective than dodging with the crouch function. Be prepared to sidestep its charge attacks.
• Grenade Usage: Hand or flash grenades can briefly stagger the troll, creating an opening to shoot its head. This effect is temporary, and grenades are less effective once the parasite appears.
