How to Defeat Ramon Salazar in Resident Evil 4 Remake

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Weak Point: Exposed body when mouth is open (not the eye).
• Vulnerable to: Fast-firing weapons like the Stingray, grenades (for trophy), and Golden Eggs.

Phases:

1. Initial Encounter: Salazar moves quickly, uses acid bubbles and charges. Use the pillar for cover and shoot acid bubbles from afar.
2. Acid Spew & Chomp: Salazar lunges or spews acid. Dodge or hide behind the pillar. Aim for the exposed body when he attacks.
3. Knife Finisher: After dealing enough damage, Salazar will fall. Rush to him for a knife finisher. Repeat 2-4 times depending on knife upgrades.
4. Trophy Opportunities:
• You Talk Too Much: Toss a grenade into Salazar's mouth when he gets close.
• No Thanks, Bro!: Continue the assault until defeated.
5. Golden Egg Strategy:
• Equip a Golden Egg and toss it at Salazar. This deals over 3/4 of his health and stuns him for a knife finisher.
• Use the second Golden Egg when he recovers to end the fight quickly. (Note: Golden Eggs are needed for other requests, consider using this on a second playthrough).

Strategy:

• Preparation: Stock up on ammo for rifles (like the Stingray) and have grenades.
• Environment: Use the large central pillar to avoid most of Salazar's attacks, especially Acid Spew.
• Movement: Constantly move to avoid charges and acid bubbles. If Salazar gets too close, run away to avoid his instant-kill chomp attack.
• Resource Management: Shoot Salazar's acid bubbles from a distance to collect Gunpowder and Handgun ammo.
• Finishing Blow: Once Salazar is downed, rush in for a knife finisher. Repeat until defeated.
• Golden Egg Exploit: For a significantly faster fight, use two Golden Eggs at the start of the battle.
• Loot: After defeating Salazar, collect the Lip Rogue from his body to sell to the Merchant.
