Walkthrough

    Head down the stairs. Collect 2 Handgun Ammo in the corner. Pull the lever to have the long-haired creature break the fence, then quickly move underneath and run.

    Run through the halls and turn right where the way is blocked by beds. Ignore enemies and move through the door. Some 500 Green Gel is near the first enemies but not worth the risk.

    Destroy crates in the current room. In the next room, search the left side for a Harpoon Bolt and 2 Matches.

    Go through the doors and pull the lever to extinguish the fire. Search the left side of the path's end for 4 Handgun Ammo. Shoot the shiny switch on the two pipes fueling the flames to continue.

    As you move through the hall, the long-haired creature appears again. Quickly move past it into the hall to your left and ignore any bombs.

    In the next room, turn right and pull the lever. While waiting for the fire to extinguish, play hide and seek with the creature. Collect a Syringe from around the main pillar. Shoot any bombs if they are annoying.

    With the fire out and the creature at a safe distance, climb the ladder behind it and rush through the next hall. Pull the lever to extinguish the fire, which takes time. Hide from the creature until the fire is out, then proceed.

    You will be locked in an incineration room. Turn around, look at the ceiling, shoot the switch, and head through the door.

    In this area, shoot three switches: two on the ceiling pipes in the main room and one attached to the pipe near the fire. Stay away from the long-haired creature.

    When the fire is out, hop down into the next room. Shoot the switch and pull the lever in the corner. Trigger the bomb first by planting an explosive bolt or throwing a grenade. Keep busy while the fire extinguishes. Rush through the hall to trigger a scene.

Tips:

  • There is a trophy for killing Laura (the long-haired creature) before the end of the chapter. This is best done on New Game + with an upgraded arsenal, ideally a rocket launcher, and on casual difficulty.
  • Fully upgraded harpoon bolts, which gain a fire effect at max level, are recommended.
  • From the start of the Laura section, hit her with a harpoon bolt as she appears and go under the gate. Continue to the hospital door section, hit her with another harpoon, and get through the door.
  • In the boiler room section, when you need to hit switches to stop fires, note that one allows you to shoot a pipe lever to call down fire on anything underneath. Use this to burn Laura.
  • In the room with three levers to shoot to drop down, shoot the levers and begin attacking Laura. Hit her with a flame bolt and shoot the two levers in the large rectangle room.
