    From the Forlorn Crossroads, head south and west past the Abandoned Safehouse to reach a river. Cross the bridge and follow the river northwest to find the Devil’s Peak Caverns.

    Enter the caverns and proceed north, then northwest to a larger chamber. Look northwest for an arch. Head under the arch, turn left (south), and work your way uphill, turning 180 degrees until you are facing north. Cross over the arch, which now acts as a bridge. Be wary of mantids.

    After crossing the bridge, head northeast to a passage leading north. Follow this winding route to a chamber containing a Mega Mantiqueen.

    On a ledge to the west, you will find Berthold Fox. Nyoka will comment on the situation. Berthold will encourage you to kill the Mega Mantiqueen. Approaching him will initiate the task Mandibles of Doom.

    Kill the Mega Mantiqueen. Berthold Fox will then jump down and offer to repay his debt at the C3 Barracks.

    Exit the mantiqueen chamber via a passage to the south, follow a walkway southwest and south, and then take a passage to the west to find the exit.

    Head northeast a few steps and turn north to find the Devil’s Peak broadcast station. You will be hailed by Joy Voivode, who will direct you to her squad at the C3 Barracks.

    Head downhill and east to the C3 Barracks. Rendezvous with Berthold Fox, who will give you Berthold Fox’s C3 Keycard, technically ending this quest.

Alternative Path (Up the Slope):

  1. Follow the road from the bridge northwest until you find the mantid-ridden slope leading to the summit. Follow the mantids along the switchbacks.
  2. The path will fork. Turn north to find the Devil’s Peak station (and Joy Voivode), or continue downhill to the east to find the C3 Barracks.
  3. At the C3 Barracks, speak with Donald Anderson. You can start the quest Mandibles of Doom by asking him to rescue Berthold, or persuade him to help clear the marauders from Devil’s Peak. Note: Enlisting the C3 mercenaries without rescuing Berthold will cause you to miss or botch Mandibles of Doom.
  4. If you choose to rescue Berthold, head uphill to the west, enter the cave, and follow the walkway east and northeast. Go through a passage north to reach the Mega Mantiqueen chamber.
  5. Kill the Mega Mantiqueen. Berthold Fox will jump down and offer to repay his debt at the C3 Barracks.
  6. Return to the C3 Barracks to receive Berthold Fox’s C3 Keycard.
Tips
  • If you approach the C3 building, you can find the assault rifle Thunder with the Mag-2-Zap mod installed on a counter to the north.
  • With Berthold Fox’s C3 Keycard, you can open various bins and lockers to the east of the C3 building.
  • To get the C3 mercenaries to help clear the broadcast station, you can use a Persuade 55, Lie 20, or Intimidate 55 check.
