[10-3-24] 24. Breakthrough to Central Consciousness

Build Up Your Base: You've got plenty of room in the bottom section of the map to get your base established. Don't feel the need to expand beyond these southern 'walls' – they're your natural defense. Use Dragon's Teeth to block off all but one or two entrances to this area. Then, build an Annihilator at each of those open entrances. Back these up with a heavy laser tower. This setup will be your primary defense against any 'Cans' that come your way; they won't get close to your core base. Make sure you have some Peepers patrolling the area too; they'll give your big guns plenty of warning about approaching enemy columns.

Prepare for Air Assault: Once you start chipping away at the CORE base, you'll face attacks from Vamps and Rapiers. Your best bet here is to build a strong force of Hawks, as they're particularly effective in this mission. Alternatively, a large number of Guardians can also work, but Hawks are generally superior.

Demolish the CORE Base: To take down the CORE base, you'll need a Big Bertha. Build it on top of one of your defensive walls. With an advanced construction aircraft, you can position this Bertha so it can hit anything on the map.

Achieve Air Superiority: The computer doesn't have any factories on this level, meaning your job is to gradually wear down its forces. After you've destroyed the CORE airforce with your Hawks, you'll own the skies. This air superiority is crucial because it paves the way for your Bertha, Brawlers, or bombers to systematically eliminate the remaining CORE units.

Deal with Doomsday Machines: Be aware that there are numerous Doomsday machines protecting the CORE dome. A ground-based assault would be incredibly risky, if not suicidal, against these defenses. Combined with the 'Cans' patrolling the area, air superiority is absolutely vital for success.

Win the Game: Once all CORE units and structures are destroyed, move your Commander into the center of the dome. This will trigger the victory condition.
