Items in Tunic can be used and equipped to aid the player. These include weapons, bombs, and health potions. The game divides items into five categories: Gear, Equipment, Single Use, Cards, and Key Items.

• Potions - Heals the player. Refills at checkpoints and can be upgraded with ash offerings.
• Shield - Deflects attacks, uses stamina.
• Lantern - Provides light in dark areas.
• Hero's Laurels - Replaces dodge roll with a short teleport.
• Stick - A weak starting melee weapon.
• Sword - A more powerful melee weapon.
• Magic Dagger - Fires a freezing projectile, consumes MP.
• Wand - Fires a magic projectile, consumes MP. Can freeze enemies when used with Magic Dagger.
• Magic Orb - Fires a grappling hook to pull the player or enemies. Consumes MP.
• Gun - Fires a spread of projectiles, strong against multiple enemies. Consumes MP.
