Learn advanced Domination tactics for Unreal Tournament, focusing on the Condemned map. Master translocator use, bot strategies, and CP control for victory.

Part 48 of the Unreal Tournament guide focuses on Domination (DOM) game types and strategies, particularly for the Condemned map. DOM is highlighted as the best game type for utilizing the translocator (T/L) for map control and quick travel between Capture Points (CPs). The guide emphasizes the importance of bot teammates in DOM and suggests learning map layouts, enemy camping spots, and practicing T/L kills.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
DOM General Strategy: Use the translocator for continuous map control. Convert two CPs quickly, even across distances. For example, in Sesmar, place a T/L by a pulse rifle, control an Ankh CP, move to the opposite Ankh CP, and then T/L back if the first CP is threatened. This allows you to control two CPs solo if you can defend them, freeing up your team for the third. Rely heavily on bot teammates; their performance significantly impacts the outcome. Learn each map's quickest routes between CPs and common enemy camping spots. DOM is also excellent for T/L kills in tight corridors like Leadworks. Ensure you have a T/L bind for DOM.
  2. 2
Condemned Map (DOM-CONDEMNED): This map is described as a bloody battleground turned tournament arena. It's a small 3v3 map with a score limit of 100.
  3. 3
Powerups / Armour: Shield-belt on top of the box in front of Arturo's CP; Keg O' Health in a room behind a broken window above the Garage CP; Jump Boots at the top of the ramp at the Garage CP.
  4. 4
Recommended CP / Bot Tactics: You take Garage; 1 bot guards Arturo's (belt); 1 bot guards Roof.
  5. 5
Controlling the Map (Condemned): At the start: spawn, T/L to Roof CP and capture it. Drop T/L on the roof, jump down to get the shield-belt and capture Arturo's CP. T/L back to the roof, run to the roof shock rifle. Throw T/L at Garage CP as you drop into the keg room to grab the keg. T/L to Garage CP and capture it. Take jump boots and shock ammo. Use boots to jump to ledges above Garage CP.
  6. 6
    CP Defense (Condemned):
    • Arturo's CP: Less defensible due to lack of ammo, one health pack, and short reaction time. Assign one bot to camp near the shield-belt to contest it and retake the CP.
  7. 7
Roof CP: Most important and easiest for bots to hold. Has a shock rifle and health packs. Bots can return quickly if they die. Beware of a bug where bots can get stuck on outer ramps (affects opponents more often). Another bug might cause a bot to wait by the shock rifle; shoot your own bot away but leave stuck enemies. The Roof CP offers elevation advantage and bots can use boots/T/L to reach it. A bot here can support you defending Garage CP from high ledges.
  8. 8
Garage CP: Located at the bottom of a long ramp. Do not defend from the ramp. Always take all shock ammo (including from the roof).
