Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising, known in Japan as Game Boy Wars Advance 2, is the second game in the Advance Wars series and fifth in the Game Boy Wars series. It introduces new COs, Units, and features.

• Plot: The Black Hole Army invades Macro Land, utilizing new weapons developed by Lash. Allied Nations must unite against Black Hole's COs and their leader, Sturm, to prevent the destruction of Wars World by the Death Ray. Hawke ultimately betrays Sturm, taking over Black Hole.
• New Unit: The Neotank, the strongest Tank in the game, developed by Black Hole.
• New Features: Includes Silos (rocket-launching structures), Pipelines and Pipe seams (impenetrable barriers with breakable sections), and various Black Hole-exclusive weapons like the Black Cannon.
• New COs and CO Powers: Features new COs for each Force, including Hachi (Orange Star), Colin (Blue Moon), Sensei (Yellow Comet), Jess (Green Earth), and four for Black Hole: Hawke, Lash, Adder, and Flak. All COs gain a normal and Super CO Power, except Sturm who only has a Super CO Power.
