Master the 'Fury of the Empire' mission in Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3. Learn strategies for Takara, Giga Fortresses, and unlockable technologies.
Walkthrough
- 1Secure the Oil Derrick and Ore Node to the west, and build up a sizeable Air force.
- 2Avoid the Giga Fortress patrolling the waters.
- 3When the Giga Fortress is at the west end of the map, send your Air force northeast, avoiding Takara's Anti-Air.
- 4Destroy Takara's Docks, then her production Structures.
- 5Hunt down all of Takara's Structures before she can use her Giga Fortresses to end the game.
Faction Strategies:
- As the Soviets: Escort the Twinblades with MiGs.
- As the Allies: Use Harbingers and Apollos, with a few Cyrocopters.
- As the Imperials: Use the VX/Tengu strike.
Manuras' Strategy (Allies):
- Build a Power Plant, Ore Refinery, and Airbase.
- Use the Surveillance Sweep ability.
- Build 4 Apollos and a Boot Camp.
- Train 2 Spies and disguise them as Takara's soldiers (visible with Surveillance Sweep).
- Send one Spy to the northwest corner and the other to the southeast.
- Position 2 Apollos near each Spy, avoiding Giga Fortresses.
- Once you have $2000, bribe the 2 Giga Fortresses and any nearby Naginatas. Start producing Javelins for base defense.
- Move Apollos near your Fortresses and switch them to Sky Mode.
- Rush to Takara's base, shooting down Jet Tengus with Apollos. Your base may be attacked by Tsunami Tanks and Sky Wings, but Javelins should hold them off. Destroy Takara's Nanocores ASAP.
Ace_Strife's Strategy (Empire):
- Build three Generator cores and three Refineries (the third ore mine is on the southeastern edge).
- Build a Dojo and another Generator.
- Once one Refinery is operational, upgrade your Dojo and build a Mecha Bay, Mainframe, and three Defender cores.
- Set up Defenders to the east, with one as Anti-Air.
- When the Mainframe is up, upgrade your Dojo again and build a Sudden Transport, then train Yuriko. You can sell your Construction Yard for $2500 credits.
- Disguise the Transport as an enemy vessel and place Yuriko inside.
- Head northeast to Takara's base, avoiding her Docks and base defenses. Unload Yuriko near her Construction Yard.
- Destroy enemy threats (Tanks and Imperial Warriors) and then Takara's Dojo and Mecha Bay. Save Yuriko's special ability for an incoming Infantry division from the west.
- Juggle enemies if necessary, and use Yuriko's ability on the Infantry division.
- Destroy Takara's Power and Construction Yard, then everything else, including the Docks.
- If not won, destroy her remaining Refinery in the northwestern section of her island. This strategy can be completed in under seven minutes.
VX4's Tip (Dojo Rush):
- Lead your Dojo Cores between the Sky Fortresses and deploy them at the southern beach of Takara's territory.
- If Takara has a Defender VX, move a Burst Drone near it (but out of range) to put it into anti-air mode, making it ineffective against your Infantry.
Pac Nether's Strategy (Allies):
- Spread out your base: a Power Plant northeast, 2 Refineries southwest, and a Boot Camp southeast. This prevents Sea Wings from destroying all buildings at once.
- Build 6 Spies and use Surveillance Sweep to give them targets.
- Send two Spies to each water Giga Fortress, positioning one Spy between the Giga Fortress and a Naginata Cruiser to convert all three simultaneously.
- For the Giga Fortress patrolling the enemy coast, time your Spy's approach to avoid being crushed.
- Before converting the southeast Fortress, move your Construction Yard between the two Ore Mines, leaving other buildings behind.
- Make all 3 Giga Fortresses airborne and use them to destroy Takara's buildings.
Tips
- Fly under the radar in this mission; the Giga Fortresses are too strong to be dealt with directly.
- As the Allies, use Apollos and Harbingers, potentially with Cyrocopters.
- As the Imperials, the VX/Tengu strike is effective.
- The three Giga Fortresses in the water can be bribed.
- Spread your base to mitigate damage from Sea Wings.
