Master the 'Future Warfare' mission in Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3. Learn strategies for Soviets, Allies, and Imperials, enemy tactics, and unlock the Future Tank X-1.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
    Location: Holdout Keep
  2. 2
    Difficulty: Insane!
  3. 3
Opponents: Hill (Green), Lydia (Purple), Giles (Blue)
  4. 4
    Recommended Arsenal: Soviets
  5. 5
    Unlockable Technology: Future Tank X-1
  6. 6
    Par Time: 22:17
  7. 7
Twists: FutureTech starts with four Future Tanks.
  8. 8
Objective: Fight off capitalist foes in the castle. Use Future Tanks defensively and a strong Air army to destroy Giles first, as he is the primary threat.
  9. 9
Early Game: Erect Ore Refineries and build Anti-Air Defences. Build an Airfield and produce Fighter Jets, then Tactical Aircraft. Send them to Giles' bases to destroy him before he becomes too powerful.
  10. 10
Mid Game: Once Giles is eliminated, use the Air fleet combined with a decent ground force to destroy Lydia and Hill. Use the Future Tanks' Riot Beams to quickly destroy enemy Structures.
  11. 11
    Enemy Tactics:
    1. Giles: Uses annoying Aircraft.
  12. 12
Hill: Uses Infantry and Tanks with old-fashioned tactics.
  13. 13
Lydia: Uses high-tech gadgets like Athena Cannons and IFVs.
  • Faction Strategies:
    1. Soviets:
      1. Spam Twinblades.
      2. Build Tesla Coils to defend ground entrances.
      3. Use Twinblades to transport Future Tanks to Giles' bases for extra damage.
      4. Transport Future Tanks to unguarded flanks of Hill's and Lydia's bases.
    2. Allies:
      1. Use a Vindicator rush on Giles' MCV.
    3. Imperials:
      1. Use Striker-VXs.
  • Tips
    • WolfSpam's Tip: Send two Future Tanks near Derricks adjacent to Lydia and Hill's bases early on. Station them at the cliff edge to target Boot Camps and Armour Facilities below. Be cautious of Javelin Soldiers. These tanks will gain veterancy and handle subsequent building spawns. Note that Armour Facilities might sometimes be out of reach, which can be beneficial if it's Lydia's base (forcing IFVs) but problematic if it's Hill's (requiring micromanagement for Riptide ACVs). Giles ignores Future Tanks. For Soviets, build two Refineries on the castle's top, keep the base small and protected with Flak Cannons. Giles becomes less of a threat. Use Twinblades to disable power from another commander's base, then use Future Tanks and Air support.
    • Galrun's Strategy (Imperials): This requires significant micromanagement. Spam Jet Tengu and VX Choppers. Select the Advanced Rocket Pods Upgrade. Gather all Future Tanks and position them just outside Spectrum Tower range at Lydia's base entrance. Build three Instant Generators, two Ore Refineries, and a Mecha Bay in the castle courtyard. Once the Mecha Bay is ready, produce Mecha Tengu and transform them into Jet Tengu. Station Jet Tengu near Refineries, Generators, and the Mecha Bay for defense. Giles' Vindicator Bombers avoid attacking if Jet Tengu are directly above your structures. Keep defending Jet Tengu in guard stance. Build a Defender VX for the southern entrance against Hill. Use Future Tanks' Riot Beam on Lydia's Spectrum Towers (one beam per tower), then send them in succession to destroy her base, prioritizing production facilities, then the Construction Yard, and finally Airbases. Return Future Tanks to base to help defend against Hill's ground attacks. Continuously produce Jet Tengu to counter Giles.
