    Enter the boarded-up portion of the saloon. In the basement (B1), you'll find a rat swarm, a tied-up overseer who won't call for help, and a Howler on guard duty. Those without powers can reach the 1F area from an outdoor pipe. If Paolo initiates a conversation on 1F, he will come down to douse the overseer. Killing the overseer disrupts scripted behavior, but silently eliminating the guard does not. This is an opportunity to kill Paolo the first time if desired.

    Explore the 1F area, which is split between an indoor section with an unguarded main stair and an outdoor bar area. The indoor section has an open safe containing 20 tyvian ore. The outdoor bar's cash register holds 11 coins. The dancing guard carrying a 30-coin pouch cannot be pickpocketed in this state. Paolo alternates between his 1F seat and a 2F balcony perch.

    Locate the second stage of the three-part TROPHY: SONGS OF SERKONOS [Pt. 2] in the bar's 1F lounge, where musicians will be performing. Listen to them before altering their AI, as they may not resume playing. Missing the first musician event in "The Edge of the World" will prevent this trophy from being obtained. It is recommended to visit the bar when it is hostile territory to ensure the musicians appear.

    In the 2F area, there are two enemies: one patrolling and one sleeping. The sleeping Howler and a blue metal case beside her contain a pouch with 60 coins total. Spiked Grenade Housing blueprints are also inside. If you have the key to Durante's office, you can enter immediately to steal 20 coins from his cash register, a bonecharm, and the Jindosh Lock combination. Inspecting the door without the key will mark its location on your minimap (a display showing your immediate surroundings).

    Durante's office also contains the silvergraph studio's key and a note detailing a deal: dropping two live bodies into the back room's cases will result in forced mine work. This offers a nonlethal solution to exile both Paolo and Byrne. Killing either one negates this option.

Two paintings, "Paolo and the Inaccessible Cardinal" and "Vera Moray and the Affix of Her Skin," are in the office, which leads to the level's only Outsider shrine containing twin runes. If Paolo is "killed" the first time, he will reappear in his office, drawing any remaining Howlers to him.
