Complete Part 70 of the Dishonored 2 walkthrough, detailing how to defeat Delilah, including nonlethal and lethal strategies, and achieving various endings and trophies.
Walkthrough
- 1Confront Delilah: Use the Heart on the Empress to remove her immortality, causing her to flee into a painting.
- 2Enter the Painting World: Follow her into a Void-like area filled with statues and Delilah's clones.
- 3Locate Delilah's Real Body: Her actual body is located high up on the cliffs above the painting's entrance. This can be reached immediately after entering the painting world by jumping down to the right and climbing. This approach requires mobility powers like Blink or Far Reach.
- 4Eliminate Delilah:
- Nonlethal Method: Find Delilah's real body in the painting world. Knock her out (sleeper holds work) and carry her out. Place her on the throne and insert the corrupt rune if not already done.
- 5Lethal Method: Find and slay Delilah's real body. This can be done by climbing the cliffs or by slaying all her clones in the painting world to force her real body to appear near the throne. The latter is recommended to avoid being overwhelmed.
- 6Delilah's Abilities and Immunities: Delilah uses magical plant bullets, Howler Dust, and an instant-kill petrification spell. She is immune to stinging bolts, sleep darts, Devouring Swarm, and Bend Time. Possession attempts end immediately, though the disorienting effect still occurs. Windblast is rarely effective due to her teleportation, but can kill her if timed correctly. Springrazors, crossbows, swords, assassinations, stun mines, and sleeper holds are effective.
- 7Special Combat Notes:
- Returning Delilah's spirit to her without her noticing does not count as an alert.
- 8Sliding assassinations can be OHKOs against Delilah and her clones, bypassing some defenses.
- 9Players without powers can achieve no-kill/no-alert runs by eliminating clones, hiding, and then dealing with Delilah when she summons herself near the throne. Watch out for her bloodbriars.
- 10If Delilah's scream causes Emily/Corvo to fall off the map, they may glitch inside it instead of dying.
- 11Ending the Game: After the battle, inspect the loved one's statue in the throne room to cure their petrification and end the game. Alternatively, in high chaos, you can sit on the throne to end the game without curing them.
Tips
- The upper floors of the stronghold have few enemies. Gravehounds in the safe room route can be snuck by.
- Enemies on the 4F rooftops and ramparts do not actively patrol, allowing flexible entry into the throne room.
- For a lethal approach, slaying all clones first is often easier than fighting Delilah directly on the cliffs.
- Be cautious of Delilah's petrification spell and avoid accidentally walking into it after it's cast.
- If using powers, time Windblast carefully for a potential kill.
- For no-powers runs, exploit Delilah's AI quirks when she summons herself near the throne.
- Trophy: THE ROYAL PROTECTOR / THE EMPRESS - Finish the game as Corvo or Emily, respectively.
- Trophy: IN GOOD CONSCIENCE / EMPIRE IN CHAOS - Finish the game in low or high chaos, respectively.
- Trophy: SHADOW / FLESH AND STEEL / CLEAN HANDS - Finish the game with no alerts, no powers, and no kills, respectively.
- Special Actions: AVENGING JESSAMINE, BLACK MARKET HEIST, CAPTAIN'S QUARTERS, HEART OF THE TOWER, IN THE COVEN'S WAKE, SAVING YOUR FATHER / SAVING YOUR DAUGHTER, WORLD AS IT SHOULD BE, YOUR FATHER IS SAFE / YOUR DAUGHTER IS SAFE.
