Learn about Zhu Rong and Nu Wa in Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered, including unlock conditions and fourth weapon locations.

Zhu Rong

History: Zhu Rong is the wife of Meng Huo, King of Naman, and a descendant of the God of Fire. She is strong, skilled in martial arts, and known for a deadly leaping slash. She captured Zhang Yi and Ma Zhong but was later captured by Wei Yan and Ma Dai, leading to a hostage exchange.

Unlocking: In the Nanman stage, defeat Zhu Rong in either Musou or Free Mode.

Description: A stereotypical Amazon with minimal attire, wielding a boomerang.

Fourth Weapon: On the Nanman stage, play as the Nanman side. Keep Dong Tu Na and Huei Nan alive for 15 minutes. They will then meet and retreat from the battlefield. The precious item will appear near the bridge at the center of the map. Grab it and finish the stage.

Attacks:

• Attack 1: A sweeping boomerang strike with decent range, clearing enemies in front.
• Attack 2: An upper boomerang slash, a standard juggling move.
• Attack 3: Throws her boomerang, dizzying any enemy hit. It has good range and can hit a group.
• Attack 4: Throws her boomerang in a wide radius, clearing out all enemies hit. This is a very good move to escape a jam. With her fourth weapon, this attack gains the fire element and better range.
• Attack 5: A big upward slash, a standard high juggling move. It gains the fire element with her fourth weapon.
• Attack 6: Throws a group of darts that spread in a wide path in front, with good radius to hit a large group.
• Musou Attack: Throws a series of darts, ending with a sweeping slash. It's fairly useful for clearing crowds, but other characters have better Musou attacks.

Overall Assessment: Zhu Rong is not a very good character overall but is interesting to play. Her range is weak, even with range-increasing items or weapons. Her power and speed are average. She has a couple of good crowd-clearing moves, but her Musou attack is poor. She improves with her fourth weapon, which somewhat boosts her reach, but she remains in the lower tiers.

Advanced Strategy: Use Charge 4 frequently, as it has great crowd-clearing ability, especially with her fourth weapon. Her regular attacks are decent for breaking through groups. Avoid relying too much on other charge moves, as they are hard to connect with. Her Musou attack is best used as an escape move.

Nu Wa

History: Nu Wa is a deity in Chinese legend.

Unlocking: Clear Musou mode with every female character (Zhen Ji, Sun Shang Xiang, and the Qiao sisters).

Description: A character in a green outfit who uses a rapier to attack enemies.

Fourth Weapon: Nu Wa's Rapier – On the Wan Castle Stage, play as the Allies side. Defeat Dian Wei. The special item will appear just north of where he started. Grab it and finish the stage.

Attacks:

• Attack 1: A basic wide slash, good for clearing enemies in front.
• Attack 2: An upward slash, a standard juggling move.
• Attack 3: A forward lunging attack that dizzies enemies. It has good forward range but won't hit surrounding enemies.
• Attack 4: A big slash that clears out all enemies hit. It has good forward range and affects many enemies in front.
• Attack 5: A forward thrust followed by an upward slash, a basic high juggling move with an extra hit.
• Attack 6: A rapid fire series of stabs followed by a big lunging attack. Not effective in groups but deals significant damage to a single enemy.
• Running Attack: A forward lunge attack with decent forward range, useful against a line of enemies.
• Musou Attack: A rapid fire series of stabs followed by a big slash. The stabs deal significant damage to a single enemy, and the final slash clears out a group. This attack can be directed to hit surrounding enemies. Each stab registers two hits, which is beneficial for powering up and obtaining better items through combos.

Overall Assessment: Nu Wa's speed is extremely high, requiring players to adjust their attack timing. She is very effective at destroying single enemies but has questionable crowd control capabilities. She is a fun character for experienced players.

Advanced Strategy: Utilize her regular attacks frequently, as they allow for quick engagement and repositioning against groups of foes. Most of her charge moves are not exceptional, with the exception of Charge 4. Her death element is not very useful due to difficulty in connecting with her Charge 6.
