Walkthrough
- 1Cao Cao's Side:
- Destroy four enemy forts, one of which is the depot. Kill the officer inside the depot after the cutscene.
- 2Defeat the enemy unit and archer towers that appear near the beginning.
- 3Be aware that Guan Yu and Liu Bei will eventually meet, causing Liu Bei to leave the battle.
- 4Defeat Yuan Shao by taking out his gate captains first to prevent reinforcements.
- 5Watch out for Zhang He, who is near Yuan Shao.
- 6Yuan Shao's Side:
- Defeat enemies north of the castle to keep Cao Cao's forces grouped.
- 7Cross the bridge and defeat Xiahou Dun and Xu Huang with their subordinates.
- 8Note that Yan Liang will be killed by Guan Yu, making Wen Chou your target.
- 9Proceed west across the north side of the castle to face Xiahou Yuan and a gate guard.
- 10Deal with reinforcements from the southeast.
- 11Allow your troops to break down the north wall by leaving a path open.
- 12Inside the outer castle, defeat Guan Yu and Zhang Liao with their subordinates.
- 13Destroy the two gates before confronting Cao Cao.
- 14Aid Wen Chou if he is attacked by an ambush group.
- 15Guan Yu's Escape (201 AD):
- Objective: Protect the carriage while fighting off five of Cao Cao's top officers and their subordinates.
- 16Stay near the carriage when it's moving to draw enemy attention.
- 17In order, defeat Zhang He, Zhen Ji, Xiahou Yuan, Xu Huang, and Xu Zhu, each with a lesser officer.
- 18Deal with Xiahou Dun, who will pursue you from the starting point after you kill the initial officers. He drops the Way of the Musou special item.
- 19Collect the life max up near the wagons in the first area.
- 20After passing the second gate, find a Musou gauge power up to the right of the exit.
- 21This stage is good for character leveling due to its length, power-ups, and numerous officers.
- 22Follow the carriage reasonably closely to prevent it from taking damage.
- 23Wei Side (Guan Yu's Escape):
- Guan Yu clears gates while you play catchup.
- 24Deal with troops left by Guan Yu in each fort, usually led by a no-name general.
- 25The last fort will have you facing Zhao Yun.
- 26The final battle is against Guan Yu.
- 27Finish the stage before the carriage clears the 5th gate; the carriage moves slowly.
- 28Battle of Chang Ban (208 AD):
- Liu Bei's Side:
- Start in the upper right area. Defeat Zhang Liao and Xiahou Dun with their gate captains quickly.
- Liu Bei's Side:
- 29Escape the area as Cao Cao will arrive in about 5 minutes.
- 30You can defeat Cao Cao to win quickly, or join Liu Bei's troops.
- 31Liu Bei will likely be attacked by Xiahou Yuan.
- 32Liu Bei's rescue ships will appear. Clear the stage by defeating all enemy generals between Liu Bei and his ships to let him escape.
- 33Protect the peasants; defeat enemies in the lower right corner to win this way.
- 34You can lead Cao Cao west away from Liu Bei, but this forces a fight with him.
Snacks and Wines:
- Cao Cao's Side: Snack at map center, slightly top, where rivers join. Wine in the center of Cao Cao's fort, slightly top, along the water passage.
- Guan Yu's Escape: Snack in the storage room in front of the first gate. Wine on the other side of the second gate's door.
Items:
- Way of the Musou: Dropped by Xiahou Dun during Guan Yu's Escape.
- Life Max Up: Found near wagons in the first area of Guan Yu's Escape.
- Musou Gauge Power Up: Found to the right of the exit after the second gate in Guan Yu's Escape.
