This section covers multiple battle scenarios and factions within Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered. Strategies vary depending on the chosen side.

Cao Cao's Side (Part 55): When facing Zhen Ji, be aware that Xiahou Yuan will be backing her up. Both are strong opponents. If Cao Pi is still alive after defeating Zhen Ji, he will react to his wife's defeat. If you delay, Meng Huo may be surrounded by Cao Cao's forces, including Xu Huang and Xiahou Dun. Rescue Meng Huo if necessary. Afterward, focus on defeating Cao Cao to end the battle.

Yellow Turban Side: Your first objective is Sun Jian, located at the top of the map. During your approach, a wind summoning event will occur, similar to the Chi Bi Stage. Backup troops led by Liu Bei and Zhao Yun will appear. Later, Yuan Shao will appear on the far right, and Cao Cao will lead additional troops. Defeating Cao Cao wins the battle.

Dong Zhuo's Side (General Battle): Victory requires defeating both Diao Chan and Lu Bu. Remnant forces from Wei and Shu may appear. Li Ru will initiate a fire attack that initially damages enemies but can also harm your own troops. Deal with remaining enemies and then confront Lu Bu.

Battle at Tong Gate II – Dong Zhuo’s Forces vs Ma Chao’s Forces: This battle is similar to the Cao Cao Tong Gate scenario but tougher due to Ma Chao receiving reinforcements from Shu. Han Sui will not defect. Defeat all minor officers before engaging Ma Chao.

Battle at He Fei II – Nanman Forces vs Wu Forces OR Yuan Shao’s Forces vs Wu Forces OR Dong Zhuo’s Forces vs Wu Forces:

• Nanman Side: Three groups of ambush troops will appear, led by Lu Meng, Sun Shang Xiang, and Da Qiao. Defeating Da Qiao is required. The final battle is against Sun Ce, who has many archers.
• Yuan Shao’s side: Similar to the Nanman side, with different leaders for ambush troops. Watch for a cutscene between Zhang He and Lu Meng, which may require you to assist Zhang He.
• Dong Zhuo’s Side: Similar strategies apply. You may need to rescue Dong Zhuo early on when Taishi Ci appears.

Snack and Wine Locations: Snack: Northwest corner of the camp in the middle of the map.

Fan Castle II – Yuan Shao’s Forces vs Allied Forces: Defeat Sun Quan and Guan Yu. Start by heading left to defeat Gan Ning. Afterward, proceed to the lower level. An ambush party led by Lu Xun and Lu Meng will appear; defeat them. Then, go to the upper left to face Sun Quan and his archers. Finally, head to the top to confront Guan Yu.

Battle of Mt. Ding Jun II – Dong Zhuo’s Forces vs Shu Forces: Two generals, Zhao Yun and Zhang Fei, will ambush your main camp; defeat them to protect Dong Zhuo. Huang Zhong is another major enemy; defeating him yields the Scroll of Accuracy. Defeat remaining enemies and finish the stage.
