Walkthrough
- 1Zhang Fei: Chang Ban Stage, Shu Side. Meet enemies at Chouhan Bridge. Trigger the "I shall make you fear death!" yell event. Kill Xiahou Dun and Xiahou Yuan. A supply team will appear near Xu Zhu's entry point and head northeast. Kill the captain to get the item. Events can be done in any order.
- 2Ma Chao: Tong Gate Stage, Ally's Side. Wait for Han Sui to meet Cao Cao and defect. A supply team will appear on the right side of the bridge (north side of the map) and head northeast. Kill the captain to get the weapon.
- 3Wei Yan: Jie Ting Stage, Shu Side. Wait for Ma Su to climb to the summit and get ambushed. Save him by killing the attacking general. Defeat all enemy generals except Sima Yi, then enter his camp. The special item will appear on the hill where Ma Su camped. Grab it and finish the stage.
- 4Zhuge Liang (Peacock Feather): Wu Zhang Plains Stage, Shu Side. Wait for enemy reinforcement troops, including Cao Xiu. Kill Cao Xiu. The item will appear near Zhuge Liang's starting position.
- 5Huang Zhong: Mount Ding Jun Stage, Shu Side. Head down the center route and defeat Xiahou Shang. The special item report will appear west of Cao Cao's original position. Grab it and finish the stage.
Tips
- Zhang Fei Strategy: Use the two-player trick. Stick Zhang Fei on the bridge (south of his starting point). Have Player 2 kill enemies in the upper right, then proceed along the top path, defeating Xu Huang and Zhang He. Take down Xiahou Yuan and others near Liu Bei. Once all are dead, return to the bridge. Kill enemies south of the bridge. Wait for Cao Cao's unit to reach the bridge, triggering the yell event. The supply unit appears; get Zhang Fei away from the bridge and kill the supply captain ASAP. After getting the weapon and ensuring Zhang Fei is safe, finish off Cao Cao.
- Ma Chao Strategy: Kill enemies until Ma Chao asks Han Sui and others for help. Go to Han Sui and cover him until Cao Cao arrives, triggering a cutscene. Continue fighting until morale decreases due to Han Sui's defection. Go to the top, below the northern bridge (by the waterfall) in a small round area. Wait for Han Sui to defect, then kill the supply captain who appears nearby. Get the weapon and finish Cao Cao.
- Wei Yan Strategy: Kill enemies while waiting for Ma Su's ambush. Save Ma Su by killing Zhang He and his troops. Once Ma Su is safe, kill remaining enemies except Sima Yi. Go to Sima Yi's camp for the item, then kill Sima Yi.
- Zhuge Liang Strategy: Use two players. Player 1 controls Zhuge Liang, protected. After killing Cao Xiu, Player 2 can grab the item and then defeat Sima Yi. Reinforcements typically arrive 10-15 minutes into the stage.
- Huang Zhong Strategy: Use the two-player trick. Advance to trigger a cutscene, then kill Xiahou Shang. Grab the item and finish the stage. If using two players, ensure Huang Zhong is the one to trigger the cutscene if he is the weaker character.
Benefits:
- Zhang Fei: Bonuses to attack, defense, and Musou charge, enabling more frequent Musou attacks. Mounted bonuses are nearly worthless.
- Ma Chao: Fire attack good for combos, and extra reach. Most other bonuses are unhelpful.
- Wei Yan: Increased range, attack, and defense. Two death attacks are included but not very useful.
- Zhuge Liang (Peacock Feather): Fire attack aids in juggles. All three defenses improve, making him very tough. However, he remains difficult to use effectively.
- Huang Zhong: Bonuses in important categories, including greatly improved bow attack.
