Part Six: Gurdy the Lone Traveler

Gurdy is a solitary traveler who briefly joins caravans but is often ostracized due to his peculiar personality and cheating ways. He knows a strange poem:

Part Seven: The Meteor Parasite and the Cycle of Memories

The Meteor Parasite, born from a meteor crash, spread miasma across the land. From the same meteor, Raem, the phoenix bird of memories, and Queen Mio were born. The world's existence depends on memories, which Raem consumes. As Raem devours memories, especially dreadful ones amplified by the miasma, they are eventually forgotten. Monsters are born from these bad memories, and myrrh trees sprout from the residual memories left by travelers collecting myrrh, perpetuating a cycle.

Part Eight: Gurdy's Brother and the Black Knight's Connection

Gurdy has a brother he never met, who once attempted to free the world of miasma. This brother, from Tida, wore preacher's clothes, which Gurdy now wears. This preacher had hired the Black Knight as a bodyguard, indicating Gurdy's brother and the Black Knight traveled together.

Part Nine: Leon and Hurdy's Encounter with Raem

Two individuals, Leon and Hurdy, attempted to enter Raem's lair, the Nest of Memories, and nearly defeated the meteor parasite. However, Raem intervened, stealing their memories. Raem was displeased because Leon and Hurdy focused on the future, leaving them with few memories to consume.

Part Ten: Unraveling the Identities

The Black Knight's pursuit of light and memory loss aligns with Leon and Hurdy's encounter with Raem. Gurdy's brother, Hurdy, hired a bodyguard (the Black Knight, Leon). The two people who entered the Nest of Memories were Leon and Hurdy. Therefore, it's concluded that the Black Knight is Leon, and Hurdy is Gurdy's brother. Raem stealing Leon's memories explains his erratic behavior. Hurdy, by changing 'H' to 'G', becomes Gurdy.

The Striped Bandits, while not central to the main plot, do kidnap Gurdy at one point.
