This section of the guide covers the Family system in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, including how your family's jobs affect your gameplay, how to improve relationships, and the benefits you can receive.

Family Relationships: Your family sends you letters with gifts when you clear dungeons. Sending items related to their jobs improves your relationship, leading to better discounts. Relationship levels are indicated by facial expressions: angry (terrible), sad (bad), plain (okay), smiling (good), and extremely happy (great).

Letters: You can view all received letters and claim any uncollected gifts.

Game Boy Advance (GBA) in Multiplayer: The GBA serves as your command screen in multiplayer to avoid constant pausing. When playing solo, a connected GBA can display a dungeon map, monster locator (yellow X for regular monsters, red X for bosses), chest locator, or a monster stat guide showing HP, strengths, and weaknesses.

Family Jobs: To open all homes in your hometown, you need characters on your Memory Card with corresponding jobs. It's recommended to create eight characters with different jobs to unlock all shops.

• Miller: Likes collecting seeds. Sending Wheat Seeds can result in receiving flour.
• Merchant: Allows you to buy and sell items. Initially, a limited selection is available (Alloy, Fish, Iron, Meat, Milk, Spring Water), expanding to include Mythril, Gold, Silver, Bronze Shards, Iron Shards, Magma Rocks, Chilly Gel, Thunderballs, Ultimites, and Dark Spheres.
• Fisherman: Provides fish annually, with the quantity depending on your relationship level.
• Farmer: Primarily receives Wheat Seeds, yielding bread in return. After some time, you'll receive wheat from your family.
• Blacksmith: Crafts weapons and armor using gil, scrolls, and dungeon materials. Initial items include Bronze and Iron sets, Warrior's Weapon, and Novice's Weapon. Higher relationships unlock Master's Weapon, Mythril sets, Legendary Weapon, Diamond sets, and the Greatest Weapon.
• Tailor: Creates additional equipment. Initial crafts include Clockwork, Flame, Frost, and Lightning Crafts. Better relationships unlock New Clockwork, Tome of Wisdom, Fiend Kit, Tome of Speed, Goggle Techniques, White Yarn, Gold Craft, Secrets of Wisdom, Angel Kit, and Designer Glasses.

Family Production: This refers to your relationship level with your family, not a job. Higher production results from a better relationship.
