Guide to Mount Vellenge in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. Learn strategies to defeat the Meteor Parasite, navigate miasma, and find valuable artifacts.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
At the start of Mount Vellenge, head south to find a large boulder blocking your path. There are approximately eleven such boulders in the area. These boulders require six weapon hits to destroy; magic is ineffective.
  2. 2
After destroying the first boulder, head east until you can go no further. Then, go northwest to find and defeat a Chimera. Open the chest to find an artifact.
  3. 3
Return to the point where you went all the way east and take the path south. Open the treasure chest here.
  4. 4
Continue south and defeat the Death Knight (48 HP). This enemy has strong defense, powerful attacks, and long range.
  5. 5
Head west from the Death Knight to find another boulder. Smash it.
  6. 6
Go down from the boulder to find a Sphere. Use Gravity to bring it down and defeat it.
  7. 7
Ignore the rock for now and head south. You will encounter a Death Knight, a Shade, and a treasure chest. Open the chest and defeat the Death Knight and Shade using powerful attacks.
  8. 8
Return to the boulder you saw earlier, break it, and then go south, past the boulder, into a large, open area filled with enemies. It is recommended to ignore them and run southwest as fast as possible.
  9. 9
You will encounter another boulder. Break it quickly. Approximately five enemies are blocking your way.
  10. 10
Rush south past the boulder you just broke into Area Two. Heal yourself and equip a Phoenix Down.
  11. 11
As you head south, a whirring sound will indicate the approach of a Miasma Crystal. Stop when a purple crystal appears. Use long-range focus attacks to destroy it from a distance. Getting too close will deactivate your Crystal Chalice's force field, leaving you vulnerable to miasma.
  12. 12
Miasma Crystals, like the boulders, require six weapon hits to break and are unaffected by magic. In multiplayer, one person should focus on healing while another breaks the crystal. If playing with three or four people, the others can deal with monsters.
  13. 13
Continue south, rushing past the Tentacle and Shade. The Shade may follow you, but the Tentacle will remain stationary.
  14. 14
As you proceed, you will hear another Miasma Crystal's whirring sound. A Tonberry guards this crystal. Tonberries have 24 HP and their Knife attack is dangerous. Defeat it from a distance, heal yourself, and quickly shatter the Miasma Crystal.
  15. 15
Open the chest to collect your fourth artifact for the level.
  16. 16
Go east, rush past the tentacle, and continue east under a bridge. Stay under the bridge and examine the right wall to find a hole.
