Learn strategies for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Meteor Parasite and Raem, including tips for all phases and low stats.

  • A cure stone or cure ring in your command list is recommended for Phase One of the Meteor Parasite.
  • Weapons like the Valiant, Mighty, or Victorious may make Phase One easier.
  • Aga spells (like Blizzaga) are highly effective against the Meteor Parasite, especially in later phases. Blizzara may be insufficient for some players.
  • Having relatively low stats and mediocre equipment is noted as a condition for which these strategies have been tested.
Walkthrough
  1. 1
Meteor Parasite - Phase One: Keep moving and dodge spells. Attack the swinging "tentacle eye" with a 3-hit combo, then quickly retreat. If it tries to slam you, perform another 3-hit combo. If it lashes its tongue, run away and cast a cure spell. When it retreats into its shell and spins, wait for the eye to reappear. Repeat until defeated.
  2. 2
Meteor Parasite - Phase Two: After a cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) (an in-game cinematic), you will be on the lower level. This phase is easier. Attack the eye during its spells and repeat. When it retracts into its shell, run as far backward as possible to avoid the beams that cover most of the area. Continue attacking when it reappears and repeat the process. Remember to heal yourself.
  3. 3
Meteor Parasite - Phase Three: After another cutscene, prepare for the final phase. Run to the back of the room as fast as you can to avoid its explosions. When it retreats into the meteor for its laser attack, hide behind the bumps in the floor. If you have already defeated the nearby plant tentacle, you can wait there for the lasers to finish, then resume attacking and dodging pink circles. Alternatively, when it starts shooting rapid-fire bullets, move to a corner where the plant tentacle normally would respawn (be brought back to life at a checkpoint after death) (reappear); they cannot reach you there. Another strategy for this phase involves standing as far back as possible to avoid both the minion tentacles and the rapid-fire attack. Cast an aga spell as close as you can from the very edge of the screen to hit the parasite, watching out for the pink explosions. A defense of around 22 is manageable with this strategy.
  4. 4
Raem - Round 1: Bring a way to damage Raem from a distance (magic or a weapon with a ranged focus attack). First, defeat BOTH minions. Then, QUICKLY run to Raem's face (his weak point) before he creates more minions. Attack him briefly. When he finishes creating new minions, he will attempt a bump attack. Let it knock you back, then eat some food to recover health if needed. He should repeatedly attempt this bump attack and miss. The minions will be too far away to attack you. If he uses a different move, defeat the minions again and repeat the procedure, perhaps stepping slightly closer after being bumped. Cast spells or use ranged focus attacks from this safe position.
  5. 5
Raem - Round 2: No special strategy is provided for this round.
Tips
  • For Meteor Parasite Phase One, staying against the wall in the middle and moving forward and back while casting Blizzaga can work, especially if you have aga spells. This allows you to avoid poison spells and tentacles.
  • For Meteor Parasite Phase Two, standing as far back as you can helps avoid the blue lasers.
  • Changing memories to ultracite was discovered accidentally by healing while a memory floated nearby.
  • These strategies worked for a Selkie with relatively low stats and mediocre equipment. Results may vary for other tribes and stats.
