If you have the Rhino, use it for the Vigilante Mission. You do not need to use the Tank Gun or the Tank Gun Boost trick; simply run over targets.

Avoid hitting too many civilian vehicles to prevent your wanted level from increasing.

Keep an eye on your armor (HUD (heads-up display — the on-screen icons showing health, ammo and the minimap) element showing vehicle health) and get some when necessary, as you can still be shot through the Rhino's viewport.

After passing Level 10, smoke will appear from the tank. To keep damage low, go back to one of your Safehouses after each checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death).

Enter the Safehouse garage, exit the vehicle, and let the door close to repair the tank using the Garage Repair Trick.

Get back in the Rhino and continue the mission.

To lower your wanted level, use the five Police Bribes. The source suggests using them on the West Side to deal with police better while in the tank.

Avoid hitting too many cars, as this can cause your wanted level to go back up before you can lower it.

The route to get the five Bribes is as follows: From the Arena, head east to the main street, then turn north. Follow the road curve east, then turn south into the narrow alley for the first Bribe. Continue south, turn west through the Hyman Condo area, turn south onto the main road, and turn left at the next intersection. Head east towards Ammu-Nation, then turn south at the intersection past Site [DTN-ES3].

Just before the Police Station, turn east into the alleys to grab the Bribe behind The Rockstar Building.

Return to the street, head south towards the Moist Palms Hotel Construction Site. Enter the site and get the next Bribe near the crane.

Exit the site, go back north, loop west behind the wall to the parking lot where the Decoy Van was picked up. Use this open area to get back to the Print Works.

Enter the Print Works and use the Bribe there.

Cut south through Little Havana, avoiding traffic. At the intersection, turn east towards the Police Station, then turn south into the alley between the Station and Site [ES-LTV13]. Just south of The Trailer Park is the last Police Bribe.

Use the last Bribe to lower your wanted level to 1-Star.

Drive the Rhino to the 101 Bayshore Avenue Safehouse and wait for the wanted level to disappear to successfully complete the mission.

Put the Rhino in the garage to save it for later.
