- 1Speak to Andrew, the innkeeper at the Inn in the Glade, who has heard rumours that the tavern in Skalitz was looted by thieves.
- 2Ask Andrew about a Skalitz refugee named Adam.
- 3Go to Rattay and ask refugees for Adam's location. Alex and Ringlet definitely know where he is.
- 4Once you know Adam is at the stables or in the tavern, a marker will appear on your map. Find him and speak with him.
- 5Adam will tell you the thief had a face smeared with soot, suggesting he was a charcoal-burner.
- 6You have two options: inform Andrew or take the valuables back to Adam.
- 7Find the charcoal-burner north of Rovna, working outside his hut northwest of the camp.
- 8Interact with the kettle beside the hut and speak with the charcoal-burner.
- 9You can intimidate him to reveal the stash location under a fallen tree in the woods, or purchase the loot.
- 10If you intimidate him, retrieve the loot from under the fallen tree.
- 11Ask the charcoal-burner about the cross; he will say he sold it to Andrew.
- 12Confront Andrew about the cross. If you select ‘Why would he lie?’ or ‘I think you´re a liar’, the conversation ends and you cannot purchase the cross.
- 13If you plan to give everything back to Adam, ask Andrew to buy the cross from him. He will accept, and you can haggle the price.
- 14Take everything back to Adam. You can choose no reward, a small one, or a large one.
- 15Alternatively, tell Adam you found the loot and split the reward, earning 575 Groschen.
- 16The quest will then complete.
