Cherchez la Femme

Guide to completing the Cherchez la Femme side quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Learn how to abduct Margaret, deal with Nicholas, and become Master Huntsman.

Alright, so you've picked a side in the whole 'Hare Hunt' mess and now Hanekin Hare's got another job for you: 'Cherchez la Femme'. Basically, he wants you to snatch Margaret from the huntsman's lodge. Let's get this done.

First things first, head to the mine shaft that's marked on your map. Hanekin will meet you there. If you're a bit early, don't worry, just use your time dial to wait about an hour for him to show up.

Once Hanekin's done with his spiel, he'll tell you to go back to the huntsman's lodge and grab Margaret. Before you sneak in, ditch any gear that makes a lot of noise. You don't want to be clanking around and alerting everyone.

When you get to the lodge grounds, you'll see a guard patrolling. This guy's always there, day or night. Margaret herself is chilling in the front room, right where the map points. Keep an eye on that guard's patrol route, and Nicholas's too, before you make your move.

Once you're inside, crouch down and knock Margaret out. Grab her, carry her through the woods, and head back to the mine gallery where Hanekin's waiting.

After you hand Margaret over, Hanekin will give you a document to take to Nicholas. Head back to the lodge, give Nicholas the paper, and tell him he needs to get out of Talmberg ASAP after he signs it. Once that's done, return to Hanekin. He'll get cleared of his old charges, and you'll get a nice offer.

You'll have the option to become the new Master Huntsman of Talmberg. If you take it, you'll get the quest 'Henry the Master Huntsman', get to keep the hunting lodge, and have to bring game meat to the Talmberg Chamberlain. Pretty sweet deal!
