The Prey

After completing your first patrol, sleep until dawn at the refugee camp or Rattay Mill.

Meet Lord Capon in the courtyard of the Upper Castle. Eat from a cooking pot before departing.

Follow Lord Capon north east out of Rattay. Keep pace to hear his dialogue.

You will be fast travelled to the hunting grounds. Fetch wine and bacon from Lord Capon's saddlebag.

Speak to Lord Capon and exhaust all dialogue options. It will be approaching night.

Sleep in one of the camp beds until dawn. If unable to sleep until dawn, wait a few hours.

In the morning, Sir Capon will propose a hare hunting contest. If you don't have a bow and arrows, take them from the chest in the camp, along with dried foodstuffs.

Check your equipment for items that cause unnecessary noise. Consider using light armour with low noise ratings. If still having trouble, remove everything except the bow and arrows.

Head into the woods and search for hares. Avoid hunting other animals to avoid being weighed down. Seek open areas with fewer shrubs.

When you find a hare, shoot from afar. Aim higher than the target and slightly to the right.

Loot the body of each hare to prove your kill and retrieve arrows.

Continue hunting hares until noon, when the quest objective updates. Return to the camp and wait for Lord Capon. You can use the time dial to speed up the wait.

If you collected more hares than Lord Capon, you will be rewarded with Groschen, the amount being proportionate to the meat gathered.

If you are weighed down by meat, put excess hare meat in the camp chest.

Follow Lord Capon to the boar hunting grounds.

Watch as Lord Capon fails to kill a boar. Chase after him on horseback.

You will fail to hunt the boar. Find Lord Capon in the forest by following the map marker.

Equip any heavy armour and weapons you have.

Locate Lord Capon at the camp within the highlighted region on the map. He has been captured by Cumans and tied to a tree.

Assault the camp to rescue him. You can charge in, use your bow from shrubbery, or attempt stealth kills.

Once the Cumans are dealt with, untie Lord Capon and speak to him.

Return to Rattay. You will be summoned to see Sir Hanush and Sir Radzig for a promotion.

Captain Bernard will arrive with news of an attack at Neuhof.
