Follow our detailed walkthrough for the Cold Steel, Hot Blood quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Learn how to ambush bandits, defend the trebuchet, and more.
Alright, so you've just witnessed the trebuchet in action, and things are about to get hectic. A soldier's going to rush in with some urgent news: Istvan Toth is calling for reinforcements, and they're on their way. Don't waste any time!
Walkthrough
- 1Right after that, a cutscene will play where Sir Divish lays out a plan for a counter-attack. Once it's over, you need to head to the battleground located northwest of Talmberg. Your job here is to lead the Skalitz men into the fray.
- 2When you get there, you'll need to set up an ambush. The key is timing: wait until the bandits have marched far enough past the path you're hiding on before you launch your attack. If you go too early, they might spot you or not be in range.
- 3After you've successfully pulled off the ambush, your next objective is to get to the bridge. Sir Robard and his men will need your help there, so make haste.
- 4Once you arrive at the bridge and the assault is underway, another cutscene will trigger. This time, Erik gets captured. Before you can even figure out what's going on, Sir Robard will warn you that the bandits are making a move to destroy the trebuchet.
- 5You need to sprint ahead to the trebuchet immediately. Your task is to help defend it. You'll be fighting alongside your allies until every last bandit is defeated.
- 6With the trebuchet secured and still in working order, Henry will suggest a plan to Sir Divish: try to exchange hostages with Istvan Toth. This is how the quest concludes.
Tips
- Timing is crucial for the ambush. Make sure you let the main group of bandits pass before initiating the attack to maximize your effectiveness and minimize risk.
- When defending the trebuchet, focus on protecting the structure and your allies. Prioritize taking down any bandits who get too close to it.
- Experience points and progression in the main story.
