Hare Hunt

Guide to completing the Hare Hunt side quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Learn how to find poachers, question witnesses, and decide Hare's fate.

Alright, so you've picked up the 'Hare Hunt' quest from Nicholas, the Master Huntsman over in Talmberg. Seems like some poachers are causing trouble in the woods, and he wants you to look into it. Let's get this sorted.

First things first, you'll want to chat with Margaret. She's usually nearby, probably hauling water. After you talk to her, she'll point you towards Olena.

Once you've spoken with Margaret and Olena, you can head over to Blacksmith's Betty. She might be a bit reluctant, but if you can persuade her, she'll spill the beans about a clearing in the woods where she spotted Hare. You can either check out the clearing right away or, if you want to speed things up, go back and talk to Margaret again.

Talking to Margaret again will give you all the info you need to meet up with Hare. But before you head off to meet him at the marker in the woods, take a moment to check out the clearing further north. Doing this will actually set you up to complete 'Hare Hunt' successfully if you decide to help Hare out later. When you finally meet him, you'll have a choice: believe his story or arrest him on the spot. If you arrest him, he's incriminated, and the quest wraps up. However, if you choose to believe him, 'Hare Hunt' will technically fail, but it kicks off a new side quest called 'Cherchez la Femme'. Completing that one will give you a chance to help Hanekin Hare clear his name and reveal the real story behind what happened with Nicholas.
