Out of the Frying Pan

Your guide to the 'Out of the Frying Pan' quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Learn how to infiltrate Talmberg castle and rescue Lady Stephanie and Sir Radzig.

Alright, so this quest, 'Out of the Frying Pan,' kicks off right in the thick of it at Talmberg castle. It's been attacked by Istvan Toth, and you'll need to jump into the fight in the outer bailey alongside everyone else.

After you've done some fighting, you'll need to make your way up above the main gate. Your job here is to raise the portcullis, but keep your eyes peeled because there will be bandits trying to stop you along the way. Once you get that portcullis up, another cutscene will play, showing Lady Stephanie and Lord Radzig have been captured by Istvan Toth. Things get worse as Istvan orders the outer bailey to be burned, and Sir Divish takes a nasty hit to his sword arm. A retreat is ordered, and that's when Sir Robard steps in with a plan to get Lady Stephanie and Sir Radzig out safely. The idea is to open the gates from the inside once they're out. Naturally, Henry volunteers to be part of the team sneaking into the castle under the cover of night.
