How to Beat Celestial Specter: Shigui

Learn how to defeat the Celestial Specter Shangui in Nine Sols. This guide covers Shangui's attacks, weaknesses, and effective strategies for victory.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Appearance: Resembles Shuigui
• Tougher than Shuigui
• More damage resistance
• Replaces mines with larger, circular, shock-radius mines
• Weakness: Azure Sand (use arrow shots, preferably to the right of the sand to break the urn when needed)

Phases:

1. Shangui utilizes close-range slashes, ranged shuriken throws, disappearing acts, a crimson attack from above, and a charging attack with a green aura.

Strategy:

• General: Focus on reaction speed and recognizing his attack patterns.
• Disappearing Act: When Shangui disappears and leaves a bomb, be ready to jump away from the shock radius or attack if he stands still.
• Crimson Attack: When he leaps back and falls from above, rush behind him for free hits.
• Charging Attack: When he turns green, jump to bounce off him. Stick close as he leaves a trail of bombs. This is a good opportunity for talismans.
• Shuriken Throw: Parry his two consecutive shuriken throws to bounce them back, potentially hurting him.
• Azure Sand: Use arrow shots on the Azure Sand to the left of the arena, breaking the urn when you need an advantage.
