But the journey doesn't end there. Nine Sols offers a robust New Game+ experience and a wealth of post-game content designed to challenge even the most seasoned players, offering new rewards, tougher foes, and deeper lore.

This section will guide you through optimizing your New Game+ run, locating hidden post-game challenges, and acquiring the most powerful artifacts the game has to offer.

Starting New Game+

Upon completing the main story and viewing the credits, you'll be prompted to save your clear data. Do so! This save file is your key to New Game+. From the main menu, select "New Game+" and choose your clear data. Here's what carries over:

• Ney Coins: All your accumulated Ney Coins will transfer, allowing for early upgrades.
• Spirit Essences: Any unspent Spirit Essences are carried over, giving you a head start on unlocking powerful abilities.
• Weapon Upgrades: Your current weapon upgrade level and any unlocked weapon forms (e.g., Crimson Blade, Jade Fang) will persist.
• Soul Fragments: All collected Soul Fragments remain, contributing to your overall power.
• Unlocked Abilities: All purchased abilities from the Spirit Tree are retained.
• Inventory Items: Consumables, crafting materials, and key items (excluding story-specific ones like the Ancient Compass) will carry over.
• Lore Entries: Your completed lore entries in the Chronicles of Ney will be preserved.

What doesn't carry over: Story progress, map exploration, and boss encounters are reset. However, the knowledge you've gained is your most valuable asset!

• The Chronos Shard: Located in a newly accessible chamber within the Kirkniya Wilderness, this artifact significantly reduces ability cooldowns. To access it, you'll need to find a hidden switch near the waterfall that only appears in NG+.
• Blueprint: Soul-Forged Katana: This ultimate weapon blueprint is found within the deepest levels of the Landor Volcano Cave, past a new, incredibly challenging optional boss, the Blazefury Sentinel. The Sentinel is immune to fire damage, so plan your elemental attacks accordingly.

New Game+ Quests

Speak to certain NPCs in Ney City after progressing a bit in NG+ to unlock new side quests with significant rewards.

• The Elder's Challenge: The Elder in the Ney City Market will offer a quest to defeat 10 Elite Variants. Completing this rewards you with 5,000 Ney Coins and a Greater Spirit Potion blueprint.
• The Scholar's Request: The Scholar in the Ney City Library will ask you to find 3 Ancient Runes scattered across the world. These runes are in previously inaccessible areas, often requiring specific abilities (like the Air Dash or Wall Climb) to reach.

Accessing The Abyss

Return to the Nexus Core after defeating the final boss in NG+. A new portal will have appeared in the central chamber. Interacting with it will transport you to the Abyss.

Structure of The Abyss

The Abyss of Echoes is a multi-layered dungeon, each layer presenting increasingly difficult challenges.

• Echo Chambers: These are combat arenas featuring waves of highly aggressive enemies, often including multiple Elite Variants. Surviving an Echo Chamber rewards you with Abyssal Fragments.
• Memory Voids: These are platforming challenges with environmental hazards and puzzles. Failure often means restarting the Void. Successfully navigating a Memory Void grants rare crafting materials and sometimes Abyssal Fragments.
• Echo Bosses: At the end of every few layers, you'll encounter an "Echo Boss" – super-powered versions of existing bosses with entirely new attack patterns and significantly higher stats. These are the toughest fights in the game.

Abyssal Fragments and Rewards

Abyssal Fragments are a unique currency found only within The Abyss. They can be exchanged at a special vendor who appears at the entrance to The Abyss for exclusive rewards:

• Legendary Talismans: These talismans offer unparalleled bonuses, such as the Talisman of the Void (grants temporary invincibility after taking fatal damage once per encounter) or the Talisman of Infinite Spirit (significantly increases Spirit regeneration).
