How to Beat General Boss Strategies

Master the 'The Factory' area in Nine Sols with our comprehensive guide. Learn strategies to overcome enemies, navigate traps, and defeat mini-bosses like the Red Tiger Elite and Celestial Specter Shangui.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Red Tiger Elite: Weak to charge attacks. Standard boss pattern: three overhead hits, two sword swings, a leaping crimson attack.
• Celestial Specter Shangui: Similar to Shuigui but tougher with more damage resistance. Uses a larger, circular shockwave bomb instead of regular mines. Vulnerable to arrow shots, especially when positioned near Azure Sand.

Phases:

1. Red Tiger Elite: Found in the underground section of the Factory. Fight occurs in a cave with occasional falling red spikes.
2. Celestial Specter Shangui: Located in the Apeman Facility (Depths) area, accessible after obtaining the mid-air dash. Found by navigating a spike pit and heading up a left rope, then dashing left.

Strategy:

• General Navigation: Be aware of flame thrower trap floors and laser rooms. Use green devices to protect yourself from lasers. Utilize ropes and grapple points for vertical traversal.
• Yellow Hornet: Dodge its dive-bomb attack and counter.
• Flying Blade: Dodge dive-bomb and counter its one-two slash.
• Red Tiger Elite: Execute its known attack pattern. Be mindful of the cave environment and falling spikes.
• Celestial Specter Shangui: Recognize its attack patterns similar to Shuigui. Dodge its bomb attacks and be ready to counter its crimson attack by rushing behind it. Use arrow shots to exploit its weakness, especially near Azure Sand.
• Mid-air Dash Acquisition: After reaching a Root Node in the Factory, you are transported to your mentor who grants the mid-air dash ability. This is crucial for navigating later areas and accessing certain items/bosses.
• Item Acquisition: Collectables like the Kunlun Immortal Portrait, Standard Component, Swift Descent Jade, Abandoned Mines Chip, and Fusang Amulet are found throughout the Factory and Apeman Facility (Depths).
