This guide covers the Factory area in Nine Sols, detailing the path through the level, including combat encounters, environmental puzzles, and collectible locations.
- Cortex Center Entrance: From the Pavilion, head west to the Cortex Center. Use a charge attack on the guard to proceed.
- Control Room Scene: You will be trapped in a control room; wait for the sequence to play out.
- Root Node and Obstacle Course: After the scene, find a Root Node. Head left to a gate, hack the node to open it, and proceed upwards through a series of ropes and grapple points. Defeat the Yellow Hornet and collect a Treasure Chest at the top right.
- Descending Path: Head left and then down. Break a rock on the left to access a middle area. Defeat the rock monster and hack two ropes to reach a chest on the right.
- Kunlun Immortal Portrait: Continue down the normal path, using walls and grapple points. At the bottom, head right to drop a rope for a shortcut. Drop past a grapple point to find a large chest containing the Kunlun Immortal Portrait.
- Factory (Great Hall): Proceed left into the Factory (Great Hall). Be cautious of flame trap floors.
- Upper Platform and Flying Blades: To the left, defeat soldiers and use two trap floors to reach an upper platform. A platform here can take you higher to face the Flying Blade enemy.
- Laser Room Puzzle: To the left of the upper platform is a laser room. Wait for the laser cycle to end, then quickly move south, defeat the archer, and go left to a machine that protects from the laser. Defeat the swordsman first.
- Treasure Chest (Laser Room): From the laser room, go to the lower left to find a Treasure Chest. Be wary of a turret on the way back.
- Root Node and Standard Component: On the next cycle, head to the upper left. Defeat the archer, pass the flame trap, and find a Root Node. Hack a chest to the left for a Standard Component.
- Second Laser Room: Another laser room awaits. Hit the green device to the left for protection, then collect the Treasure Chest to the lower right. Drop down through the middle to reach the Factory (Underground).
- Factory (Underground) and Swift Descent Jade: Collect a Treasure Chest immediately upon entering for the Swift Descent Jade.
