Nine Sols: Navigate The Factory Walkthrough

This guide covers the Factory area in Nine Sols, detailing navigation, enemy encounters, and item locations. You'll learn how to overcome environmental hazards like flame throwers and laser traps, defeat new enemies such as the Flying Blade, and find important collectibles.

Walkthrough

From the Pavilion, head west to the "Cortex Center" using the upper walkway. Defeat the guard with a charge attack to proceed.

After a scene in a control room, head left to find a Root Node. Continue left to a gate; send your fairy to hack a node.

Navigate the obstacle course by heading up ropes and grappling upwards. Collect a Treasure Chest on the right.

Head left and down, looking for a breakable rock to access the middle area. Defeat the rock monster and hack two ropes to reach a chest on the right.

Continue down the normal path, using grapple points. Head right at the bottom to drop a rope shortcut, then drop down past a grapple point to find the "Kunlun Immortal Portrait" in a large chest.

Enter the "Factory (Great hall)" to the left. Be aware of trap floors with flame throwers.

Kill soldiers and head up to the upper platform, jumping on two trap floors. Ride a platform up to encounter the "Flying Blade" enemy.

To the left, past a flame trap, is a "CRAZY ROOM" with a giant laser. Wait for the laser to end, then quickly go south, kill the archer, and go left to a machine that protects from the laser. Kill the swordsman first.

Head to the lower left for a Treasure Chest, then return.

On the next cycle, head to the upper left. Kill the archer, pass the flame trap, and find a "Root Node".

Heal up and hack a chest to the left for a "Standard Component". Enter the next laser room.

Head left and hit the green device for protection, then get the Treasure Chest to your lower right. Drop down through the middle to reach the "Factory (Underground)".

Open the immediate Treasure Chest for the "Swift Descent Jade".

Head right to exit back to the Factory and go left to unlock a door, creating a shortcut.

Return to the underground and go left. Navigate past red spikes to a left/right path choice. Go right and down to face the "Red Tiger Elite" mini-boss.

Kill the "Red Tiger Elite" for a "Standard Component" and hack the console to the right.

This leads to an area with spikes and a mechanical unit. Head down, killing enemies, to the very bottom. Dash to a Shield Guardian and break it to unlock half of a hidden treasure.

Head back up to the middle level and go left. Watch for falling spikes. Use ropes to go left, and ignore the elevator. Go left to a "Root Node" which transports you back to your mentor.

After receiving the mid-air dash ability, head back to where the broken machine was (right and up) and air dash to get the "Abandoned Mines Chip".

Continue right, killing a Ninja, and stay on the upper path to find the "Evacuation Notice for Miners".

Head right from here to find the "Abandoned Mines" area, but do not explore it yet.

Go back and down when possible, heading southeast to a peculiar room where you can "hide inside a container" to reach the "Apeman Facility (Depths)".

Navigate through the cave area in the "Apeman Facility (Depths)", using your air dash to avoid red spikes. At the bottom, open a chest for money and the "Fusang Amulet".

Continue right through a spike pit, hack a rope, and go down. Note the gap to the left but do not go there yet. Head right to a "Root Node".

From the root node, go up the left rope and dash left between spikes to find the "Celestial Specter: Shangui" mini-boss.

Tips

Use charge attacks on guards with shields.
Be patient with the laser rooms; wait for them to end or find the protective devices.
The "Flying Blade" enemies can be countered by dodging their dive-bomb and attacking.
The "Red Tiger Elite" is a familiar mini-boss, focus on its attack patterns.
The "Celestial Specter: Shangui" fight requires good reaction speed; utilize arrow shots and be ready to dodge bombs and crimson attacks.
