Nioh Part 149 covers the Gasha-Dokuro and Ishida Mitsunari boss fights. Learn their moves and strategies to win.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Gasha-Dokuro (The Source of Evil): This boss fight is a gimmick. If you have enough health and armor, you cannot die from its attacks. Hanzo and Tenkai assist you. Wait for Gasha-Dokuro to slam its hands down, then attack them. Destroy both hands, and Gasha-Dokuro will fall after Tenkai binds it and Hanzo hits it with Cannons. Attack its head (or feet for overall health damage, but focus on the head once feet are destroyed). Rinse and repeat. A Fire Spirit spawns where you drop down, which can be killed for a buff to help take down the hands. Buff up when Gasha-Dokuro is falling, as you have several seconds before you can attack its head.
  2. 2
Ishida Mitsunari (A Defiled Holy Mountain): Ishida is a glass cannon boss with low HP but strong attacks. At the start, he uses a Wind Slash that destroys the cave; get to his side and deal damage. Stay somewhat close to Ishida to discourage long-range attacks like "Wind Fury" and "Izuna Slam". Bait out his sword combo attacks, staying just out of range and countering.
Tips
  • Gasha-Dokuro: Use the Fire Spirit buff for the hand phase. Buff up when Gasha-Dokuro is falling to maximize damage on its head.
  • Ishida Mitsunari: Stay close to bait sword combos. Counter his sword combos.

Boss Moves:

  • Gasha-Dokuro - Hand Slam: Gasha-Dokuro slams its hands down. Roll out of the way and attack the hands afterward. Destroy one, then the other.
  • Gasha-Dokuro - Tail Spin: Gasha-Dokuro spins and whips its tail. Guard against this attack to be safe. You can recharge Ki quickly if you run out.
  • Gasha-Dokuro - Energy Barrage: Gasha-Dokuro launches energy orbs. Dodge out of the way.
  • Ishida Mitsunari - Wind Slash: Ishida uses a Wind Slash at the start of the fight. Get to his side to deal damage.
  • Ishida Mitsunari - Wind Fury/Izuna Slam: These are long-range attacks. Staying close discourages him from using them.
  • Mission "The Source of Evil" completion rewards vary.
  • Mission "A Defiled Holy Mountain" completion rewards vary.
