BOSS ENCOUNTER: JORO-GUMO
Joro-Gumo shares some traits with regular spiders, such as "Slow String" and "Leg Attack", but is significantly tougher.
Stats / Weaknesses:
- Weak spot on her backside.
- Vulnerable to fire attacks.
Phases:
- The fight progresses through Joro-Gumo's various attacks. There are no distinct phases, but she can enter "Defense Mode".
Strategy:
- Focus attacks on her weak spot on her backside.
- Utilize Fire Talismans or fire-based attacks.
- Dodge her attacks and heal when necessary.
BOSS MOVES:
- Web Spit: Joro spits blobs that create slowing webs on the ground. Avoid these to maintain mobility. She can spit 3 or 5 blobs, covering a large area. Move to the other side of the room if she uses this extensively.
- Leg Attack: A frontal attack with her two front legs. It has limited range and is slow, allowing time to dodge to the side and counter. She may perform a 1-4 hit combo.
- Slow String: A frontal attack that inflicts the "Slow" status. Evade left or right. If hit, stay defensive until the effect wears off.
- Jumping Slam: Joro jumps and slams her body down. This attack is slow, giving ample time to dodge unless you are out of Ki.
- Lunge Attack: A straightforward frontal rush attack. Dodge left or right to evade.
- Defense Mode/Body Spin: Joro lowers herself and covers her backside with legs to protect it. While in this mode, she can perform a 360-degree "Body Spin" attack. Use a "get in, get out" approach when she is in this mode.
