- 2When he stops and clutches his chest, you MUST attack him. This interrupts his Shinka Summon (Regen effect) which would otherwise heal him back to full health.
- 3Dodge his attacks, particularly to the right, to create openings.
Tips
- Spear Attacks: Be aware of his high and mid-stance heavy attacks like Piercing Rain and Windmill. Dodging to the right is effective for evading these and often allows you to get behind him for a punish.
- Grab Attack: Watch out for his short-range grab attack, indicated by a sparkle. Be ready to dash away.
- Spear Dash: He will bring his spear back, which will sparkle, and then dash forward very fast with good range. Recognize the sparkle and dash or roll away to avoid this and punish him afterwards.
- Shinka Summon: Honda summons his Guardian Spirit, creating a small area attack in front of him that inflicts a purple earth status effect, increasing Ki cost. Get behind Honda quickly when you see this summon (unless he's doing Shinka Heal) to be safe.
- Shinka Heal: This summon puts a strong regen effect on him. You MUST stay near him and attack when you see him clutch his chest to interrupt this move and avoid a much longer fight.
- Boulder Throw: This is his only long-range attack. He carves out a chunk of earth with his spear and throws it. Dodge to the side or guard.
