This guide details the various items you can find and use in Pathways into Darkness. Understanding these items is crucial for survival and progression through the pyramid's treacherous levels.

• Weapons — Used for combating monsters. Some weapons utilize multiple ammo types, including HE and Sabot.
• Crystals — Each crystal possesses a unique special power. After equipping, they require a charge-up period before use. With each subsequent use, the charge time increases until the crystal shatters. The yellow crystal, used for communicating with the dead, is an exception and can be used indefinitely.
• Potions — Found in bottles, these affect the player in various ways when consumed, such as granting temporary invincibility or slowing time. Potion effects are short-lived.
• Miscellaneous Items — These objects are essential for puzzle-solving (e.g., the red cloak), game mechanics (e.g., the map), carrying other items (e.g., the canvas bag), or have unique functions (e.g., the tinderbox).
• Treasure — Various valuable items can be found throughout the game.
