Water Level Puzzles

Solve the water level puzzles in Pathways into Darkness' Sunken City. Learn to manipulate water levels using pressure plates and levers to progress.

Throughout the Sunken City, you'll encounter rooms with adjustable water levels. These are controlled by specific pressure plates or levers, often located in adjacent, dry chambers. The key is to manipulate these levels to either flood a room to reach a higher ledge or drain it to access a lower passage. For example, to reach the Green Crystal, you'll likely need to drain a large central chamber. Locate the series of three pressure plates in the surrounding corridors. Activating them in the correct sequence (often hinted at by nearby carvings or scrolls) will lower the water. Experimentation is key, but always be mindful of your breath meter when submerged. Some plates may require a heavy object to remain pressed.
