The Sorcerer's Sanctum — Pathways into Darkness Walkthrough

Navigate the treacherous twenty-five levels of The Sorcerer's Sanctum in Pathways into Darkness. Battle monsters, solve puzzles, and defeat the Dreaming God.

Walkthrough: The player is a U.S. Army Special Forces member tasked with preventing an ancient godlike being from awakening and destroying Earth. After a parachute failure, the player, presumed dead, must infiltrate an ancient pyramid in the Yucatan Peninsula. The goal is to reach the bottom level and detonate a nuclear device to stun the Dreaming God and bury it. The player starts with only a flashlight and survival knife, facing monsters created by the slowly waking god, who will fully awaken in five game days.

Tips: Gameplay blends first-person shooter and RPG elements with survival horror conventions. Combat requires careful strategy due to respawning monsters, rare ammo, limited health regeneration, and the player moving at the same speed as enemies. Resting to regain health is risky as it speeds up time. Blue potions are rare and crucial for curing poison. The player starts with only a handgun and knife for about half the game.
