Understanding the function and optimal use of each consumable and piece of equipment can mean the difference between victory and a swift demise. The game features several items, from healing salves to powerful ammunition, each with its own strategic application.

Health Potions are your primary means of recovery. They come in different strengths, with the standard Health Potion restoring a moderate amount of HP. For more severe injuries, seek out Greater Health Potions. Always keep at least one potion readily accessible on your quick-select menu. A common mistake is to hoard these vital items for too long, only to find yourself overwhelmed when multiple enemies attack simultaneously. It's often wiser to use a potion to recover from moderate damage than to risk a fatal blow.

Ammunition is another critical resource. Different weapons use distinct ammo types. The 9mm Pistol, for instance, uses 9mm Rounds, which are plentiful but deal less damage. For tougher foes like the Hollow Soldier, you'll want to conserve Shotgun Shells or Assault Rifle Rounds. The Assault Rifle, firing at a rapid rate, can quickly deplete its ammunition reserves, so judicious use is key. Consider using the pistol for weaker enemies and reserving your more powerful ammunition for situations where it's truly needed, such as clearing out a group of Mutants or facing a boss.
