Victory Road (Part 2)

Continue your journey through Victory Road in Pokémon Black and White! This guide covers trainer battles, legendary encounters, and shortcuts to help you reach the Elite Four.

Alright, you've made it to the final stretch before the Elite Four: Victory Road! This place is a maze, but don't worry, I'll guide you through it. Just keep your wits about you and your Pokémon healthy.

First up, you'll run into a Black Belt who wants to test your strength before you can proceed. After that, keep heading up the stairs. You'll find a Doctor who, if you battle them, will create a convenient healing point. Definitely take advantage of that!

Trainer Battle: Black Belt

He's got a Level 43 Scrafty (Dark/Fighting), a Level 43 Mienfoo (Fighting), and a Level 43 Conkeldurr (Fighting).

Trainer Battle: Doctor

The Doctor has a Level 43 Gothorita (Psychic) and a Level 43 Leavanny (Bug/Grass). Beating them is a good idea for the healing spot they provide.

After dealing with the Doctor, head left and around, but stop before the next set of stairs. If you've got the Strength HM, you can push a boulder into a hole here to create a shortcut back. Handy for quick retreats!

Ready? Head up those stairs. If you go south from here, you'll actually go outside. You can drop down into a nearby cave to grab an item, then hop down another ledge to get back near the Doctor. But for now, let's keep pushing forward. Go north from the Doctor's room to find another flight of stairs.

Up these stairs, you'll find a trainer. You can choose to fight them or try to sneak by.

Trainer Battle: Ace Trainer

This trainer has a Level 44 Klang (Steel), a Level 44 Darmanitan (Fire), and a Level 44 Seismitoad (Water/Ground).

Take the exit to the right. You'll see two slide points; take the one on the right. This leads into another cave. Head up the stairs inside, and you'll encounter another trainer, an Ace Trainer. Again, you can fight or avoid them.

Trainer Battle: Veteran

This Veteran has a Level 45 Gigalith (Rock) and a Level 46 Eelektross (Electric).

After the Veteran, take the stairs and then head left, down the next flight. Down here, you'll find another boulder. Use Strength to push it into the hole – another shortcut! With that done, go down a bit, then left. Keep an eye out, because if you encountered Cobalion earlier, there's a hidden entrance here to the Trial Chamber. Inside, you'll find the legendary Terrakion!

Legendary Pokemon: Terrakion

Terrakion is a Level 42 Rock/Fighting type. Catching legendaries can be tough, but hopefully, you're at a high enough level now to make it a bit easier. It's a great addition to any team if you can snag it!

Once you're done with Terrakion (or if you skipped it), head back upstairs and exit to the south. Now, just run up the path ahead. You're almost at the Elite Four!
