Discover Pokémon encounters and a special Zoroark event in the Lostlorn Forest guide for Pokémon Black and White. Learn about rare spawns and unique battles.
Despite its spooky name, Lostlorn Forest isn't actually a maze! It's a bit eerie, sure, but you won't get hopelessly lost here. This forest is known for its wild Pokémon and a pretty cool, unique event involving Zoroark.
You won't find any trainers to battle in this quiet area, but there are plenty of wild Pokémon to catch. Keep an eye out for the specific Pokémon available in both tall/dark grass and shaking grass patches.
Pokémon Encounters:
- Tall/Dark Grass: Cottonee (Black), Petilil (White), Swadloon, Tranquill, Venipede (all 35% encounter rate, except Tranquill and Venipede at 15%).
- Shaking Grass: Pansage, Panpour, Pansear, Emolga (all 10% encounter rate). Also Audino (45%), Leavanny (5%), Whimsicott (Black, 5%), Lilligant (White, 5%), and Unfezant (2.5%).
- Water (Surf/Super Rod): Red Basculin (Black) or Blue Basculin (White) (100% on Surf, 30% on Super Rod). Goldeen (70% on Super Rod, 60% in rippling water) and Seaking (10% in rippling water).
- Special Encounter: Zoroark (Only One).
Items: You can find Big Mushroom, Rare Candy, and Protein in this area.
Special Event: The Zoroark Illusion
This is the really interesting part of Lostlorn Forest! If you've transferred a special event Shiny Raikou, Shiny Entei, or Shiny Suicune from Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, or SoulSilver to your game, you can trigger a unique encounter. Approach the caravan with one of these event Pokémon in your party.
You'll see a non-shiny version of Raikou, Entei, or Suicune appear in battle. Don't be fooled! Damage this Pokémon, and its illusion will break, revealing the true Pokémon: Zoroark! This is your chance to capture this rare, illusionary beast.
Important Note: For the illusion to work, the transferred Shiny Legendary must have the Original Trainer (OT) named “GAMESTP” or “WIN2011”.
