Walkthrough
- 1After creating your character, you spawn in front of the bus station. Open your phone ('Tab') and read the message from 'Unknown' to start the 'Getting Started' quest.
- 2Go to the payphone and talk to 'U.N.' (Uncle Nelson). He'll instruct you to find his stash near the skatepark, which contains $375.
- 3Speak to the motel manager, Donna, to rent a room. You can then pickpocket her to get the $75 back.
- 4Enter room 1 of the motel to complete the quest.
- 5Talk to Uncle Nelson at the payphone again to start the 'Gearing Up' questline.
- 6Go to the hardware store (marked by a yellow star on your map or by following the road past the motel).
- 7Deposit your cash at the ATM and purchase a grow tent, soil bag, and watering can. It's also recommended to buy 'Plant Trimmers', a 'Packaging Station', and 10 'Baggies'.
- 8Return to your motel room, place the grow tent, and add soil.
- 9Talk to Uncle Nelson again to meet Albert Hoover.
- 10Open your phone and order seeds from Albert via a 'Dead Drop'. The first order of 'OG Kush' takes 30 in-game minutes to arrive.
- 11Pick up the seeds from the highlighted 'dead drop' location.
- 12Return to your motel room, sow the seed in the grow tent, and water the plant using the watering can.
- 13Sleep to advance plant growth.
- 14Harvest the plant using the 'Plant Trimmers' when it's fully grown.
- 15Place the 'Packaging Station' and package the harvested buds into baggies.
Tips
- You can only customize your character once at the start; changes later require editing game files or visiting in-game shops (barber, clothing, tattoo).
- Speed-runners can open the motel room door and step inside to quickly complete the quest.
- Depositing cash at the ATM is safer as you won't lose it if caught by cops or if you die.
- If you tell Dan at the hardware store you're a drug dealer, he may gift you 'Speed Grow'.
- Watering the plant before sowing the seed is possible.
- Sleeping after watering helps plants grow faster and conserves water.
- 'Dead drops' with items inside are highlighted.
- You can unpackage weed by reversing the packaging process.
- Jars can also be used to store buds.
